Although itis a slow read for me, (since I have to think about what Hayakawa is actually trying to say) I am currently reading through Language In Thought & Action and am finding that the book challenges the way in which I interpret my learning experience. Jar, our venerable old coot who used to frequent EvC, is the one who urged me to read this book...in fact, one of his pet phrases, "The Map Is Not The Territory" was directly inspired from this book.
Feel free to comment (those of you who have already read the book) while I finish it. I shall comment more on it here later.
