Great Gig. I saw them in St. Louis in 2006.
They had another great band open for them called Amina:
i love the sound of the saw, or what ever it is. it was a great show. I usually listen metal, but this stuff is good sometimes too.

08/07/2008 Nissan Pavilion, Bristow VA
This was the best show I attended this year. It was a band I grew up listening to that I always wanted to see, but wasn't sure if could or not since there was a little break-up for awhile, but thank full Rob Halford came back. I have seen them with Ripper Owens, but I have always dreamed of seeing the original line-up, of this very influential metal band. There where actually three great bands at the show which really made it a great concert for me to attend.
I like the idea of this thread, thanks for creating it.

7800 Cellar Door Dr, Bristow, VA” (google map it)
It's alot closer to Gainesville (Just east of Manassas), about a mile south east on Wellington Rd, from the intersection of Hwy 29 and I-66.

you're kidding me right? You've NEVER heard of Woodstock? Even I have, and I'm 26.
Woodstock
of course i have heard of woodstock, it was that big concert in 1969 that had all those crappy bands my parents listened to (and made me listen too when i was a kid).
I just didn't catch what he was saying about the venue we were talking about in Northern Virginia. Woodstock to me was just a big field, where there was a 3 day concert one summer in the 60s. I never heard of red rocks. but yeah the nissan pavillion is a big ampitheater. i think kuresu's question was the venue a big ampitheater or not, and it was.
music is a great topic, unfourtunately we dont discuss it enough around here.

you set them up i'll knock em down.
Funniest thread in awhile.
gotcha!!!1!
usually only n00bz get trolled that easy. but its music, and the fanboys take music so emotionally all the time, i couldn't resist. I wish this were about the beatles, i could have trolled 10 people at once. music is so subjective i can't believe how many people fall for that one every single time.
honestly i like jimi hendrix experience and the who. Its funny though how many times that same clip gets linked. I can honestly say i have not heard of many of the bands at that concert (richie havens, sweetwater, bert sommer, the incredible string band, tim hardin, melanie, ravi, joan baez, country joe mcdonald, country joe and the fish, ten years after, blood sweat and tears, johnny winter, paul butterfield blues band, and sha-na-na). but CCR is country and it is crap, janis couldn't sing and was crap, joe cocker is a cover "artist", grateful dead is pretty folksy country that is the best lullalby i have heard (ZZzzzz). actually my parents made me listen to more 1970s stuff, pink floyd, zepplin, black sabbath, rolling stones, etc. the doors, Jimi, and the Who are the main late 60s bands i was force fed
3 days for two good bands, no thanks, not sorry i missed that one.
