And again
Ill adjust the calculation on page 1 according to this.
You may need to adjust the figures again because the Bible states that there were seven of some of the animals.
Genesis 7:2-3
Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
This contradicts Genesis 1:19-20
And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
The contradiction is best explained by realising that there are two Flood myths that have been splived into one.

Re: Locust
their sheer size would make them destructive
You are assuming that all dinosaurs were very big.
Do you ever think about things before you post?

Re: Locust
So Noah left the small, inoffensive, plant-eating dinosaur othnielia (about 50 pounds) to drown while saving lions, tigers and grizzly bears?
I share the same puzzlement as Brian about why you post what you post. I've bitten my tongue several times before and made no comment, but I'm not going to do that this time, so here goes:
Before clicking on the submit button you might try giving your posts a read and asking yourself if they really make much sense, or even better, giving them a critical assessment as to their strengths and weaknesses so that you can anticipate what the responses might be and make edits and improvements. To this point the main effect of your posts has been to leave us all agog at the depth of your ignorance and the superficiality of your thinking. Sorry to be so personal, but it's like you're not even trying.
By the way, I've been wondering about another contradiction. If you're not a Biblical literalist, why do you accept Noah's flood?

Re: supremacy
hey kuresu and the rest! science always describes it hate to explain, im really shocked by your audacity to dare scale down the mind of God, Albert failed and accepted it
Nan... "albert you cant read the mind of God"
albert "atleast i will dying trying"
If God fed 5000 men with 2 fish and 5 loaves what can limit him to fit a dinosaur in the Ark.
Faith is not a thing of people of simple thought its a thing of genius.

Re: supremacy
And I suppose your post is a prime example of the brilliance of faith? When you have something other than a temper tantrum and a taunt let us know.
By the way, if you want to use one miracle as proof that another miracle happened, you need to do a couple of things. First, prove your miracle example (in this case, your fish and chips) happened. Yes, I know it says Christ did it the bible. Heracles supposedly became immortal by completing the twelve labors. That is, you need corroborating evidence that it happened. Once you've proven this, you need to show just what feeding 5000 people has to do with flood, outside of "it's god's magic". As it stands, it's like claiming that because I can run, that I can therefore write. It does not follow.
So as said, when you have something substantive to say, come back.

If you want to discuss faith, this is probably the wrong thread. But there's a discussion about faith going on right now over at Why so friggin' confident?.

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Re: supremacy
If God fed 5000 men with 2 fish and 5 loaves ...
then why does He sit back and watch thousands of innocent babies die each day from starvation?
I wonder why I don't worship this evil monster anymore?

Re: And again
Thanks Brian.
So, Creationists, which do I beleive (and therefore include) in my calculation?
a) Genesis 7:2-3
Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
OR
b) Genesis 1:19-20
And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
"Seven" or "Two" of each.
Please give reasons for selecting one or the other.
Thanks!
