I'd be concerned about topic-drift given the mention of the big bang, but it otherwise looks like a solid topic. Perhaps Phat will reconsider and just ask for some modifications.

I was the one that would review all proposals and close the ones that had no activity in a week, and I'm still doing it that way. The only unpromoted proposals that get closed earlier are those where the author requests it.

This is a reply to Petrophysics1's Message 101.Hi Petrophysics,We all find it frustrating when we're the object of ignorant accusations, but Ray's topic proposal doesn't meet our standards, and neither does most of his participation here at EvC Forum. There would be little to be gained anyway because one only looks foolish when drawn into an argument with a fool. Besides, anyone with even just a little discernment can see that proposal for what it is, an ignorant attempt by an ignoramus to get a rise out of evolutionists.Sorry.

Yeah, that's a good point about the plunger. Maybe there were too many fingers in the pot in that article. I feel like I'm developing a better understanding of it, though, so I'll try taking another look at Syamsu's proposal now.

Hi WK,People posting their own original compositions don't need to provide attribution, but if they've posted the same material elsewhere then they need to demonstrate that it is actually their material. And if they can't do that then that's their problem.Asyncritus doesn't seem particularly motivated or able to do this.

I wouldn't myself promote his recently posted revision, except maybe Free For All, but I don't have any problem if someone else does, maybe after working with him a bit more.My concern is that he may be unable to articulate any position that can be clearly understood, that criticisms of his position will never turn out to be about his actual position but just a claimed misunderstanding of it, and so the position will be reexplained and a cycle of criticism/claimed-misunderstanding/reexplanation begun again.
