eaihua restricted from starting new topics
S/he has started two math geek spammish topics:
Generalized Least Square Method
and
Multivariate nonlinear regression analysis DRS
I will tolerate this stuff, but it should be confined to and discussed in just the one topic (I closed the second).

It really helps moderators figure out if a topic is disintegrating because of general misbehavior versus someone in particular if the originally non-misbehaving members kept it that way. When everyone is prickly and argumentative and off-topic and personal then it's just too difficult to tell. We have neither infinite time to untie the Gordian knot, nor the wisdom of Solomon.
There used to be a comedian who presented his ideas for a better world, and one of them was to arm everyone on the highway with little rubber dart guns. Every time you see a driver doing something stupid, you fire a little dart at his car. When a state trooper sees someone driving down the highway with a bunch of darts all over his car he pulls him over for being an idiot.
Please make it easy to tell you apart from the idiots. Source

felixmab and davidmabus2006 restricted to "Free For All" forum
Their respective topic indexes:
http://EvC Forum: felixmab Topic Index -->EvC Forum: felixmab Topic Index
http://EvC Forum: Dennis Markuze Topic Index -->EvC Forum: Dennis Markuze Topic Index
They are almost certainly one and the same. No ID merger has yet been done.

See Are we all religious? and Are we all religious? #2.
Tigetmax has not participated outside of his/her two "Proposed New Topics".
The second "Proposed New Topic" message 1, after AdminNosy rejected the first:

change of pressure no longer has topic starting permissions
So far change of pressure has proposed 5 topics, all which were rejected for such reasons as being gibberish or being inappropriate for .
This person has otherwise not posted in any other topic.
Thus topic starting permissions has been terminated.

Reinstatement of LindaLou
LindaLou has been reinstated from indefinite suspension. This does not represent a change in policy. Indefinite suspensions are still permanent, but in this case I felt an exception was appropriate.

XionComrade no longer has topic strarting permissions
XionComrade has recently reappeared and has started two highly dubious "Coffee House" topics (1, 2).
Thus XionComrade no longer has topic starting permissions. XionComrade can still post messages to existing topics and can edit his messages.

hooah212002 can no longer post at the "Big Bang and Cosmology" forum
His messages at the "Moons: their origin, age, & recession" topic.
Lot of noise, not much signal.
How many others doing the same in that overheated topic (186 messages in 22 hours)?

Likewise for Onifre

Lot of crankiness there. Probably would have gotten you a few admin message demerit points.
