As long as you're still around, 10:10 - do demons dink with the chemical balance of the "possessed's" brain, or not? Do antipsychotics like clozapine chase off lesser demons and leave only the really studly ones bothering prople? Read my lips! When you've tried all the meds and therapy known to man and nothing has worked, then consider that maybe something else (demons) could be causing a person not to be in their right mind.

Maybe science and medicine will eventually make the concept of demon possession to become a non sequitur. Until science and medicine solves all of life's problems and creates (no pun intented) a perfect world for us to live in, why not consider (no maybe) there's a spiritual world that you know nothing about.

So if demons (Satan) can influence our lives, then the deck really is stacked against us, isn't it John. I made this same statement in another thread and all three of you (Jaywill, ICANT and you) all chimed in to say that "NO", demons (Satan) cannot directly influence our lives. Are you changing your position on this now? Show me where I made such a statement? I happen to believe just the opposite, as is explained in 2 Cor 4,
3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Yes, the deck is stacked against you until you are willing to do the work that Jesus declared in John 6:28-29. Even then Christians can be influenced by demons if we are not willing to resist these demons and submit to God (James 4:7). Blessings

Which tome are you pulling all these quotations from, Ten:Ten? Surely not the Rubber Bible? Y`know. the one that s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s to accommodate all 36,000 Christian groups? Hang on, another two just started up. I've given you chapter and verse. Go to any KJV or NAS Bible and read it for yourself. Rarely do unbelievers address the message that Christ gives to those who honor Him as Lord. Instead, we get replys such as yours.

If you will read post 84, you will see that I did, and that these verses spoke directly to the question posed to me.
It's not difficult for unbelievers to disagree with anything the Bible says because they don't believe the events talked about really happened, nor do they believe the words the Lord Jesus spoke as recorded in the Bible are His actual words and are true, nor do they believe the Lord gives/manifests to His children the promises He made, nor do they believe the writers of the Bible wrote the words of the Bible as the Spirit of God imspired them. It's probably best for unbelievers to simply say, "I reject the Bible as having any truth whatsoever for me," and get on with their faith of unbelief, whatever unbelief faith they choose. For those who are able to hear and receive the Gospel of Christ, these verses in Romans 10 speaks to them, 13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!" 16 However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?" 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Blessings

Them`s the breaks, sonny boy. I thought the KJV was compiled by a committee from dodgy manuscripts. And revised ten times. Can`t see the connection from there to Jesus. Then here are a few more breaks you will have to handle. Consider these words from Jesus in John 3,
17.For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18.Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Since you are quoting from present-day Bibles, show me the provenance back to the autographs. IOW, how do you know 'these words from Jesus' are genuine? Those that enter into "eternal life relationship" (John 3:16-17) with the Lord Jesus Christ know His words are true. If you do not repent (John 3:18), those such as yourself will find out they are true at the "white throne judgment" (Rev 20:11-15). It's as simple and as difficult as that.

Just saying something doesn't automatically make it true. Can you provide an original source or not? Why is any translation you decide to follow, the correct translation? Many many Bible translations that we have today are very accurate when compared to the original Greek & Hebrew copies that are in existance that go back to the time of Christ. In all matters dealing with God's salvation in Christ Jesus, the Bible translations we have today are true to the original Greek & Hebrew Bibles they were translated from. When God reveals and manifests Himself according to His plan of salvation in Christ Jesus, then one can believe and know that it is true.

So I take this mean to mean you are not going to provide any evidence to back you statements other than "I believe it is true, therefore it is true. I do not have to provide any evidence" Well I guess you can never lose an argument. Tell me how is delusion working for you? The evidence is that what Jesus said will happen to those who honor Him as Lord actually happens. I can't provide this evidence to you. Only Jesus can provide this evidence to you if you are willing to honestly seek Him and let Him find you. The things Jesus said will happen to those who honor Him as Lord is working very well for me. The delusion is all yours.

We are ALL willing, there is just nothing there. Wrong again!!! ALL are not willing to seek the God of the Bible. The ones who are willing must do so the way the God of Bible prescribes in John 6.
26 Jesus answered them and said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. 27 "Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal." 28 Therefore they said to Him, "What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?" 29 Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." Are you willing to seek Him upon whom God has set His seal? PS - Allah of the Quran is not Yahweh of the Bible, but you don't understand the difference. Edited by John 10:10, : No reason given.

Yes, Jesus was speaking in John 6:26-29 to group of people who were asking Him what they must do "so that we may work the works of God?"
Jesus replied, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." If you have genuinely done this, and you are still unable to believe in Jesus whom God sent, then the only remaining thing I would suggest is for you to pray this simple prayer: "Lord, help my unbelief." Blessings

I just did this. But I still don't believe. What am I doing wrong? Saul (who became the Apostle Paul) also had a problem with believing that Jesus is Lord, until he actually met the Lord on the Road to Damascus in Acts 9,
1 Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, 2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3 As he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him; 4 and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" 5 And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" And He said, "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting, 6 but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do." You may argue whether or not this event actually happened, but it certainly was real enough for Paul to spend the rest of life devoted to doing what the Lord continually told him to do from that experience onward. I am forever grateful for the writers of the New Testament giving to me and to others who are able to believe what is written therein. Blessings

OK. So how do I meet the lord such that he can convince me? These verses in Jeremiah are the best advice I can give you.
Jer 29:13-14 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD. Then start reading the Gospel of John with an open mind. The Lord will do the rest. Blessings

Since you don't want to believe that the Lord can and will lead you into His salvation, if you will search for Him by reading the Gospel of John with an open mind, I wish you all the best as you live in your unbelief.
