Re: I Would like To Take This Opportunity to Apologize to the Rest of the World
No need to appologise Angalard, I know it's just the loonies that think that way.
However I do fear the media image created of your country over here isn't doing the image people have of you any good. Let's hope it changes as well with this new direction you seem to have taken.

I fully expect Obama and the democrats to commit treason shortly in the coming months in respect to US soverignty of our money and world law being soverign over US law.
You have evidence that points to them intending to do so? If so please provide it so we can fight them together.
People are already starting to buy guns again because of the change thats coming, etc...
People do stupid things for the wrong reasons all the time, why would it be different now?
Watch public television they have there people preparing us as we speak telling us that we have to give up our soverignty to be part of this bigger monetary picture.
Unfortunately, I can't watch your public television, so if you could provide me with any info on what they are doing, I'd appreciate it.
Whats going to happen to our military if and when he gifts our soverignty out the window?
Evidence he intends to do this?
Will it be like Clinton where our soldiers were forced to be serving in the united nations, with our soldiers being dragged thru the streets of Somolia, etc...
As opposed to them getting killed in far greater numbers in Iraq? Yes, the Clinton years were far worse, weren't they?
P.S. Its interesting that Obama's grand pappy was a migrant worker married a Palestinan girl and returned to Kenya. What is also interesting on Obama's mothers side he is George Bush's tenth cousin.
Your point being?

Buz, dont bother, your trying to reason with puke bag liberals and we know that what is right or wrong is never an issue with liberals, its always about thier agendas. We also know that liberalism is a mental disorder and the ones you are trying to reason with are classic examples, dont waste your time.
First of all, I'm using every restraint I have right now to not sink to your level. So far it's working.
A few points:
1)I'm not a "liberal" at least not in the sense you mean.
2)What is your definition of liberal anyway?
3)Would you care to show how liberalism is indeed a mental disorder?
If you don't respond to these points, I'll consider your post a waste of my time, but more importantly, that you don't even have a point and just wanted to piss people off. It almost worked.

Re: Obama's First Act To Aid Global Terror
First of all, sorry for losing it earlier. Was a bit mad about another thing, and needed to vent, shouldn't have done it, sorry.
Bertot writes:
I wonder, do you happen to see how Cavediver treats people in his responses? Do you give him the same repremands that you do me and others, for off comments or sarcasm? Or is it just the fellas you disagree with?
Yes, like I said above, was a bit pissed about something else, should've stayed away.
1. Really, exacally what kind of liberal are you?
I'd say this definition from merriam webster suits me:
quote:
5: broad-minded ; especially : not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or traditional forms
2. Anyone who ignores simple principles of common sense to advance an agenda.
So, basically anyone who disagrees with you. I'm sorry but that's not a very good one.
3. Would not anyone who ignores basic principles of common sense and rational need professional help?
Would you please show where I ignored logic and raional thinking? Yes I said logic and not common sense, as common sense differs from person to person.

The Bertot writes: If you can tolerate Cavedivers abuse mine should serve as no real problem. Apologies are not necessary with me, I expect such behavior from yourself and the other nutty liberals here, ha ha
Ok, no appologies then, glad I could conform to your world view though.
Yes what? you do agree Cavediver is an abusive putz
No, I agree he uses strong words when people keep using the same ignorance everytime. I think he's getting a bit sick of explaining the same basic stuff time and again to people who will just say "you're wrong" after he's done explaining.
"Not bound by authority"
That's not what I said, now is it. I said not bound by authoritarianism. Which is something different entirely. Authoritarianism is a blind following of every authority. Stupid people that don't want to think for themselves do this. I want people to think for themselves. This does NOT mean I want anarchy. Authority is important, but it should not be followed blindly.
pretty much describes why liberals are tantamount to criminals for all intents and purposes.
Really? As opposed to you lot who run an ILLEGAL prison and torture people? That's not criminal at all, now is it?
Thanks for the dictionary definition to cooroborate my point. Take a close look at it again.
I did, which is why I can say that Authority and Authoritarianism are two completely different things. Thanks for undermining your own point.
No. just anyone who refuses to adhere to authority as is indicated by the definition.
I will avoid Godwin's law here, bu are you saying you would do ANYTHING your government asks of you?
Anyone who ignores rational sane behavior in place of anarchy.
Well, since I don't favour anarchy, you can't call me a liberal then, can you?

Re: Will BHO decriminalize marijuana?
I think this is a great idea. Over here, they are now finally moving in this direction too, after years of it being illegal but tolerated, they are finally coming to their senses and are moving to legalize it.
I hope it will happen soon. Since there will be benefits for all. Income for the government, and safe pot for everybody.

I for one am not. I've come to the conclusion it is best to ignore him.
Now, anybody have anything useful to say about the topic?

About universal health care:
I pretty much agree, over here we of course have it, and I must say to me it is unthinkable that someone who is ill can not see a doctor because they can't afford it. I am still amazed the USA held on to this system for such a long time.

Re: Will BHO decriminalize marijuana?
And yet, here in the Netherlands, where ANYONE can get and use pot "legally" (technically it's illegal, but the government does not prosecute the sale and use of it), there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with our society, it's safe here and most people have decent jobs and even families. Kinda undercuts your claims, doesn't it?

Re: Will BHO decriminalize marijuana?
Funny post Kuresu, one thing though.
And since you're in the netherlands, you're obviously in hell or something since you sit lower than anybody else, so you're doubly messed up.
While this is true in a general sense, I live in the province of Limburg, which is the highest province we have. In fact there are parts of Belgium that are lower then my province. So, it couldn't be that bad, could it?

Similarities between Boulder, CO nad the Netherlands?
Would you mind indulging me in this "radical commonality." you say Boulder, CO and My country have?
And I doubt Obama will make one lick of difference to the policies in my country. Perhaps he won't drag us into another unnecessary war. (Oh yes Buz, make no mistake, we have soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq as well) But for the rest, I would be very surprised if he would actually change any policies at all.

Obama and human rights...Were you wrong Buz?
According to this article, President Obama has denied the people captured and placed in a makeshift prison camp in Afghanistan a right to trial.
This brings up up two questions.
For those "pro" Obama: What do you think of this?
And for Buz: Were you wrong about him?

I hunt for the truth
What you can do in my country and get away with:
Softdrugs? Legal!
Legal drinking age? 16!
Birth control (the pill)? Free!
Gay marriage? Legal!
Abortion? Legal!
Euthanasia? Legal!
Age of consent? 16 (14 if you have the parents permission)!
Yep, only one way down for us!
