As opposed to them getting killed in far greater numbers in Iraq? Yes, the Clinton years were far worse, weren't they?
P.S. Its interesting that Obama's grand pappy was a migrant worker married a Palestinan girl and returned to Kenya. What is also interesting on Obama's mothers side he is George Bush's tenth cousin.

No, I agree he uses strong words when people keep using the same ignorance everytime. I think he's getting a bit sick of explaining the same basic stuff time and again to people who will just say "you're wrong" after he's done explaining.

That's not what I said, now is it. I said not bound by authoritarianism. Which is something different entirely. Authoritarianism is a blind following of every authority. Stupid people that don't want to think for themselves do this. I want people to think for themselves. This does NOT mean I want anarchy. Authority is important, but it should not be followed blindly.

I think this is a great idea. Over here, they are now finally moving in this direction too, after years of it being illegal but tolerated, they are finally coming to their senses and are moving to legalize it. I hope it will happen soon. Since there will be benefits for all. Income for the government, and safe pot for everybody.

About universal health care: I pretty much agree, over here we of course have it, and I must say to me it is unthinkable that someone who is ill can not see a doctor because they can't afford it. I am still amazed the USA held on to this system for such a long time.

And yet, here in the Netherlands, where ANYONE can get and use pot "legally" (technically it's illegal, but the government does not prosecute the sale and use of it), there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with our society, it's safe here and most people have decent jobs and even families. Kinda undercuts your claims, doesn't it?

And since you're in the netherlands, you're obviously in hell or something since you sit lower than anybody else, so you're doubly messed up.
While this is true in a general sense, I live in the province of Limburg, which is the highest province we have. In fact there are parts of Belgium that are lower then my province. So, it couldn't be that bad, could it?

Would you mind indulging me in this "radical commonality." you say Boulder, CO and My country have? And I doubt Obama will make one lick of difference to the policies in my country. Perhaps he won't drag us into another unnecessary war. (Oh yes Buz, make no mistake, we have soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq as well) But for the rest, I would be very surprised if he would actually change any policies at all.

Obama and human rights...Were you wrong Buz?
According to this article, President Obama has denied the people captured and placed in a makeshift prison camp in Afghanistan a right to trial. This brings up up two questions. For those "pro" Obama: What do you think of this? And for Buz: Were you wrong about him?
