The flood story in the Bible was an adaptation of a story myth that was common in the ancient world. It has religious meaning, but no historic meaning. Proving that there was no flood has no necessary effect on religious belief.

Discussed Before
This has been discussed before. You might want to join one of those.
In any case this is a bit simple to get a good discussion going. You simple assert your views without giving any connecting logic.

'This has been discussed before.'
Then why is there still debate on the subject?
'You simple assert your views without giving any connecting logic.'
The position is perfectly logical already. There is nothing to add. It is for others to prove that the flood story must be literal for belief to survive. It will be assumed that this challenge is too great.

I think what AdminNosy means is the flood us a very frequent topic here. There are already a number of open threads on the topic over at the [forum=-7] forum. If you would, please give the more recent topics there a peruse, say the first 10 or 20 or so. If you find that none of them are appropriate for the position you would like to take then return here and let us know.
If you decide you'd still like a new thread, bear in mind that your thread proposal is so brief that it's hard to tell whether you want to focus on geological issues or myth-making/Biblical issues, so you'd have to add more detail so that the direction the thread is to take is clear.

Geological issues for an allegorical 'event'?
