I argue against omnipotent simply because "all power" sounds to me like the designer could negotiate with and even defy the laws of nature. Since I can't think of any physical evidence of the laws of nature being defied, I suggested that the designer is confined within the allowances of those laws, at least in relation to the physical processes of this universe. Thus, the designer would not be omnipotent.
I disagree, he is most definitely omnipotent and omniscient, that is almighty and all-knowing.
the bible is full of examples of God defying the natural laws and his ability to fortell the future shows he is all knowing.
You ... prepared the luminary, even the sun. (Psalm 74:16)
The sun itself is an indication of the power of God.
At its core, the sun is about 27,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit [15,000,000C]. Just a pinhead-sized piece of the sun’s core on the earth could kill use instantly! Every second, the sun emits energy equivalent to the explosion of many hundreds of millions of nuclear bombs... God created it, and keeps it alight...thats power beyond out imagination.
some of the miracles where he has defied natural laws are:
making the sun stand still
sending fire from the sky
parting the waters to allow people thru
Jesus walking on water
he most certainly is able to defy his own laws...and of course he could, if he created them.

To use specific examples, what was the designer thinking when the designer made bats and birds? Why not give bats some feathers? Why not give birds three middle ear bones so they could hear airborne vibrations a little better? Why not give birds teats so that they don't have to puke up food for their young? Why not give bats flow through lungs? Why not give birds the improved hemoglobin found in bats? Why are there two completely different and uninformed solutions to flight (not to mention flying fish, insects, gliding squirrels, etc.)?
there is a good reason why bats dont have the same functions as birds do
bats are nocturnal mammals
birds are not

People can't breath while swallowing. This is not a difficult problem to resolve. Especially since there are models for its resolution in many other creatures. If a mere human can recognize this why couldn't the creator? It's either incompetent, unconcerned or has a mystical plan that involves rock stars drowning in their own vomit.
i would have thought that our nose is a pretty good resolution seeing it enables us to breath whilst chewing our food.

Why not have separate breathing and eating holes? That would be a better design.
there are two separate holes for eating and breathing
in the back of the throat is the pharynx (used both for the swallowing of food and for breathing) and to prevent food and drink from entering your airways, a small movable lid known as the epiglottis blocks the entrance when you swallow.
pretty nifty use of space if you ask me.

But not while swallowing it, which is why lyx2no actually said.
no, not while swallowing... im not sure if you've ever tried, but i have and its impossible to breath while swallowing
thats thanks to the epiglottis
I dont think the designer missed anything.
