Re: Storm by Tim Minchin
It was removed because Tim Minchin asked nicely if it could be not put on Youtube until after his tour. Because he asked nicely everyone happily complied. After the tour he gave his blessing for this to go up:

How civilized!
Thanks for posting the youtube link. The lyrics are good on their own but his reciting it makes it even better!

One of mine
This is one of my YouTube vids, one I am particularly proud of (although the sound quality sucks, have fixed that issue in more recent videos). I do not know how to do the cool embedded video, but here is the link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afzq6Upmmn0&feature=chann...

Doctor Bashir: "Of all the stories you told me, which were true and which weren't?"
Elim Garak: "My dear Doctor, they're all true"
Doctor Bashir: "Even the lies?"
Elim Garak: "Especially the lies"

love it!
Thanks Litho, my daughter will particularly like it.
BTW, I love what she told me last night. She's reading one of Brian Greene's books on QM and string theory.

Maybe this is old, but it's new to me.
Go to the Google page, type in "french military victories" then hit the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button.
Hilarious!

I like!
Of course, if you were really clever, you'd figure out how to get that to appear based on a Google search.

Google indexes this site daily, so within a day or two it should be findable using Google. How long it takes to rise to the top depends upon how many people click on it.

Re: Maybe this is old, but it's new to me.
Well, I guess I'm not really clever. Google has scanned the site a couple times since I posted that, and not only is it not indexing it, it isn't indexing this page, either. It's indexed all the other pages of this thread, but not this one, so my guess is that Google not only detects and rejects webpages of faux Google results, but also pages linking to them. A pity.

For a second there, i fell for it. I thought it was genuine.
Would be real cool if it was real. Google would be in for a huge shitstorm though

LOL I like it. Reminds me of this one for weapons of mass destruction that used to be available when you searched google using the "I'm feeling lucky" button. Although yours might be closer to the truth

eefin

That thing won't directly play for me, but I can download save it and then play it.
It and more sounds and information are available at EEF BEAT MANIFESTO (MP3s) - WFMU's Beware of the Blog. They also have a player available there, via the little blue and white arrow thingy.

Yeah, this is an old internet hoax. Notice the results page isn't an actual Google page and the URL is:
http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/text/victories.html
And at the bottom, it says:
Parody transcripted 2003 Albino Blacksheep
This Parody is not sponsored or endorsed by Google

Yes, it's a joke.

Thank you for your submission to Science. Your paper was reviewed by a jury of seventh graders so that they could look for balance and to allow them to make up their own minds. We are sorry to say that they found your paper "bogus," specifically describing the section on the laboratory work "boring." We regret that we will be unable to publish your work at this time.
