If you are moderating and skim reading the content of my posts then it is understandable how you reached that conclusion and made the charge. The call to think more deeply was a relevant to the debate because of the newness of the idea. There are thinkers here in your EvC forum and perhaps you see yourself as defending them when there is really no need. The call to think more deeply was supposed to be just a subject in passing.....................................................

You justified your violation of the Forum Guidelines by citing the difficulty of getting people to think more deeply. My assessment that any difficulty you felt you were experiencing was more likely rooted in the ill-defined nature of your ideas was based on a careful reading of all your posts here, as well as a number at a couple other discussion boards. My concerns in this area are supported by rule 4 from the Forum Guidelines

4. Points should be supported with evidence and/or reasoned argumentation. Address rebuttals through the introduction of additional evidence or by enlarging upon the argument. Do not repeat previous points without further elaboration. Avoid bare assertions.

If your keyboard works you can use dBCodes. Let me know if you need help.

The thread Think bigger think better is devolving into personal attacks.I don't think paulesq has added anything but mumbo-jumbo and personal attacks in quite while.In other words. It needs active moderation.Thanks and have a nice day.

I used naughty words in Message 188 and Message 51 and Message 52.jaywill made his first complaint in Message 194 but despite my asking him to voice his concerns in this thread, he decided to move onto reiterating them in a different thread in Message 57.This has had the consequence of inciting well meaning posters to argue that my posts do not contravene forum rules which has resulted in the thread becoming the smoking kindling for a flame war.Since jaywill has decided to continue to stalk me around the boards looking for 'foul language' and attempting to goad me into debating it where it is off topic, I call for a moderator to make a decision as to how to handle things before they get completely out of hand.

I had noticed this just prior to you posting this message.My impression of the moment is that it is a highly dubious and irrelevant reply to a moderately dubious and irrelevant message (300+ messages back) in a rather dubious topic.Whatever quality once existed in that (now past 300 messages) topic seems to be well in the past.
