I can't get anything out of that link.
Please just tell me what skull you're talking about.
From the details in the linked article, it's got to be Homo rudolfensis.

I know that because I know that "flood geology" is a steaming heap.
But how do you know it?

It doesnt mean that its not flooded though. Same goes for the earth. Just because we were not around when the oceans were lower, does not mean that the earth is not flooded now. When the evidence is that the oceans were at one time much lower, then the only logical conclusion is that it must now be flooded.
The oceans have been lower and higher many times. Each ice age lowered the oceans and each warm age raised them.
Recently we had 1/3 of the state of Queensland covered by water
Which shows only that there is such things as localized flooding. Flooding is very common in many areas of this planet.

Catastrophe yes but still not evidence of a global flood. How about freezing to death at the beginning of an ice age?
why would a wholly mammoth freeze to death....they had fur
Penguins and polar bares, snow fox's and rabbits survive in the arctic...why would a whooly mammoth not survive?
If they didnt like the cold, why not migrate to warmer climates?

So how can a 1.75 million year old fossil resemble modern man?
By belonging to the same genus.
Duh.

The same way a 400,000,000 year old fossil dragonfly resembles a modern dragonfly. There are many current living things that resemble earlier species. That also goes for similar modern species ie: jaguars & leopards.

Do you realize how long that would take with the ice appoaching at a faster rate than the mammoths could flee.

Re: Worldwide flood -- not
Homo rudolfensis???
From Wiki:
In March 2007, a team led by Timothy Bromage, an anthropologist at New York University, reconstructed the skull of KNM-ER 1470. The new construction looks very ape-like and the cranial capacity based on the new construction is downsized from 752 cubic centimeters to about 526 cm. Bromage said his team’s reconstruction includes biological principles not known at the time of the skull’s discovery, which state that a mammal’s eyes, ears and mouth must be in precise relationships relative to one another.
1470 doesn't look at all like modern man! The original reconstruction didn't and it sounds like the recent one looks even less like modern man.
526 cm ?
Kids are born with a cranial capacity almost that size, and chimps aren't far behind. That's about Australopithecine size!
No way that will resemble modern man--I don't care what some creationist website says.
But to tie this to the thread subject, some creationists think that all of the various Homo species evolved from modern man (Adam & Eve) following the fall or the flood or the tower of Babel. What a joke! That's the type of evolution they deny happened being proposed several hundred times faster and in reverse!

Yes it is.
But when you look at geological features that have been paved by water such as the Grand Canyon, or The Blue Mountains (aust)
Or underwater reefs such as the one found in the Australian desert areas such as the Flinders Ranges Oodnaminta Reef
or the flat topped seamounts deep below the waters surface with evidence of having once been above the surface
its not hard to believe that there really was an earthwide flood

Except that the people who, unlike you, do in fact spend their entire professional lives looking at the rocks, find it, not just hard, but impossible, to believe in "flood geology".
Do bear in mind that everything you think you know about geology falls into just two classes:
(a) Crap creationists made up.
(b) Facts discovered by geologists, who are therefore aware of these facts. In much, much more detail than you.

Resemblance
Peg thinks what she read says it resembles modern man. It does not say that! It says that the wrist bones do. Someone misread it.

i know it because the building of cities began after the flood.
Unless you believe Genesis 4:17, of course. But heck, who'd be dumb enough to believe the Book of Genesis?

Fur doesn't protect you from freezing to death if you fall through the ice or into a bog.

soon I discovered that this rock thing was true
Jerry Lee Lewis was the devil
Jesus was an architect previous to his career as a prophet
All of a sudden i found myself in love with the world
And so there was only one thing I could do
Was ding a ding dang my dang along ling long - Jesus Built my Hotrod Ministry

Live every week like it's Shark Week! - Tracey Jordan
Just a monkey in a long line of kings. - Matthew Good
If "elitist" just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room", I'll be an elitist! - Get Your War On
