Lots of Comets
Do you suggest anything I should read rather than Wiki?
I don't understand this common disparagement of Wiki: seems to me it is vastly superior to the rubbish ideas average joes runs around with in their own heads. The late Heavy Bombardment article is an excellent source for answers to the questions you're asking.
Well, getting over my surprise at how little water is in a comet, I ran the numbers again. Using the values you supplied I get 0.12% H20 for a comet. Would you like to take a stab at what percentage of he Earth is ocean? 0.11%. Looks like the Earth is a big ol' comet. Of course, comets keep their water on the inside while Earth has sweated it out, I'm hard put to believe the numbers reflect coincidence.
I'll have to go have a look-see at how much H20 is held up in hydrated minerals in the crust and mantle. There's likely enough to bring Earth up to double that of a comet and disillusion me.

Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be distinct before reason can act upon them.

Assuming these numbers are correct, it seems to imply that rocky bodies, when they formed out of the cloud around our protosun, contained about .12% water. Which doesn't sound too hard to believe to me, so much of the water in our planet probably was there to begin with.

Oh my someone slept on a pea. I was asking for a site other than Wiki because I have reviewed it. When looking for additional information on this topic I sound some other ideas which were not included on wiki. I found ideas that were covered in depth on wiki and not as detailed on others. I am looking for a range of information. So, I came here to ask you. Thank you for your help. . .
The numbers came from a site I googled when looking for an answer to the question myself. I have no idea if they are accurate. However, it should be obvious to conclude I myself am not intelligent enough to whip that type of formula or calculation on my own. So, I guess they might be right? They might have came from joe average self proclaimed website which was not wiki as you mentioned?

I think you're misunderstanding taz. he's not dismissing your question - he's providing an answer. It's the same answer I gave, simply much less verbose.
I am on occasion self-described as an idiot not retarded. I can clearly demonstrate this by saying if brought back to Fenris I will have one of the best resto shaman healers on the server.
If you turn a key a car starts. If you spank a woman her buttocks turns red. If I ask why these things happen and you tell me it is a reaction to the action well in the the words of Jar, dear God am I going to quote him!?!?!?
"Trite Drivel" I know those words are not the best chosen either. You must keep in mind the fact I am an idiot.
I did not think it was necessary for me to demand a verbose answer. I made the assumption I was the only idiot here. I thank you and all for their answers.

I never claimed you were either of those things.

Another (former?) WoW player, eh? My girlfriend has a resto shaman. I have a holy paladin for my healing character.

I'm still not following. At no point did I say you were an idiot, or a retard. I haven't made any comments regarding your intellectual abilities at all. If I've come across as condescending, I apologize.

There are very few "idiots" here. I haven't seen any reason to count you as one. It simply looked like you were dismissing Taz's response as a sarcastic rebuke, but in actuality there was a real answer contained in his post. If I was mistaken, again I apologize.

Re: Comets?
Sorry. .. .
I was just kidding.... I know you never implied such a thing - WOW(no not world of Warcraft)
I was after a more detailed response. Than the other person had presented me with.
BTW - about 3-4 years ago you were the reason I started playing Warcraft. Closer to the 4 year mark. I was still playing GTA and my only knowledge of MMO was MUDs/Mucks & MOOS I think they were called from longer ago. . . You mentioned this thing in Chat, "World Of Warcraft". I bought a second computer for my girl and now thanks to you have been putting out $30 a month for the last several years
This digresses from the OP. Sorry.
