Heaven: How to Get In

Hi everyoneI've been thinking about the nature of heaven, and realized that I do not know exactly how one gets in. Any answer I try to get is usually just a slippery contradiction. So please, how do you get into heaven in your faith. PS please do not get into an argument over what heaven is. I just want the requirements for getting in.Edited by Adminnemooseus, : "Redded" the last sentence.

Hi Stile, and thanks for your answer. However, your idea of an ideal test is obviously not what others have. To everyone, of any (abrahamic) religon, do you get into heaven through faith alone, acts, baptism, or any combination of the above. Thank you.

Thank you Peg So what is the criteria for being a judge beside Jesus? (Judgin' 4 Jesus) So either Jesus played favorites or there is no "hell" and everone goes to the same place once they die, thus removing the need for God to be self evident. So, it is basically like the Muslim heaven that Oni mentioned before. However, if the whole afterlife idea is to return us to the Garden of Eden state... Hi tuffers, and yes, I haven't learned much. However, I would like to thank some people who have, actually given a definitive answer. Like Oni said earlier in the thread, this shouldn't just be about the Christian faith. So bring on your criteria!And tuffers, that is personally what I believe, as I think that the very fact of us being here is a miracle and thus shouldn't be wasted. So I guess that's how you get into athiest heaven- get born.

Alright everyone, let's assume a new situation. We all know that mentally deficient people exist, and their condition is a result of brain damage or malformation. In extreme cases, such a person can have multiple or exaggerated personalities or near or total amnesia- i.e. lack of the ability to retain information. There also people who are brain dead from birth, childhood, or as the result of an accident. As such, it would be impossible for them to learn of the Christian faith, pray/worship, "choose" to keep the commandments, or even help others; being entirely dependent on or not even aware of others. Now, would such a person have a soul and would they be able to get into heaven? Why?If a person's soul is linked to their actions, personality, and ability to get into heaven, then why is it that if the physical brain is damaged, all of the above are affected (except possibly the last one depending on your point of view)?

What if you are incapable of believing- or remembering such?
