Not really. My Dad and Step-mom both got remarried (to each other) after being divorced...all they needed was an anulment of their previous marriages. So, in the mind of the church, the marriages never really happened...but they did. It's a backdoor escape clause.IIRC, it's what led to the Anglican Church in the first place.
