Heh heh, as coincidence goes I was just reviewing my first few posts last week. 'Cause I'm a bit conceited like that
I started here:
Message 89
I know I lurked for at least two years before posting.
I remember I was terrified of stepping on toes, getting banned, or providing information that anyone would find interesting in the smallest amount. Who knew that anonymous internet posting could be so intimidating?
I was so timid, in fact, that I couldn't even have my first post be a part of "the arguement" and was more of a tap-on-the-shoulder, what-about-this? kind of suggestion.
The worry that came with the posting was so much that I lurked for another 3 months before my second post...
I've since learned the following:
-you don't get banned around here unless you're an idiot who has no manners. If you just treat people with respect, you'll do just fine.
-EVERYONE'S subjective opinion is interesting to someone... besides, if we didn't post our subjective opinions, there wouldn't be much to discuss at all.
-synesthesia is still one of the coolest medical conditions I've ever heard about, and I still wish I had it
