Fate, Faith, and Fight
Knowing the logical sort of guy that you are, I am proud of the fact that you chose frequent exams and are prepared to engage this inner biological enemy again...with full resolve and grim determination. All of us will be sending you as many love and strength vibes as we can muster!
Do the best that you can with your nutrition and exercise, so as to be in tip top fighting trim...and we will all support you daily in whatever way we can! And don't worry about the hair...you are still quite the devilishly handsome guy without it! (I speak for both EvC and Dreamcatcher here...(Come say hi to jar and I ....you have many online friends! )

RAZD, I will fight any and everywhere I can to get stem cell research implemented into those areas where it is currently limited, you have shown why it is so important.
Keep pumping friend.

Re: Update is not good news
Whatever dumbass EvC debate differences we might have I (obviously I hope) genuinely wish you well with this.
A number of close friends and family of mine have fought cancer and repeatedly come out the other side. Modern medicine makes such things, especially caught early as seems to be the case here, not nearly so scary as they once were. Or even seem to be. I'm not saying easy. Just definitely worthy of both the effort on your part and a significant dose of optimism on the part of all those around you. Including those many EvCers who evidently hold your contributions both dearly and in exceptionally high regard. Including myself.
Add to that the indominatable human spirit, which you seem to hold in spades, and I fully expect to be arguing with you (or being ignored by you - whichever you deem appropriate) for years to come.
I won't be praying but my relentlessly atheistic thoughts are with you. For whatever that is worth.
Straggler.

Re: Update is not good news
I haven't been on this forum very long yet, but I have enjoyed reading your posts ever since I stumbled upon EVC. Your consistently friendly and thought-provoking debate-style is part of what led me here in the first place. So reading about your relapse hit me as hard as it would coming from any friend.
I will be praying for your quick recovery, Razd. I have also invited everyone in my addressbook to join the World Community Grid.
Best Wishes
Meldinoor

I'm so sorry this stupid cancer would not just stay gone and leave you in peace. You are in my thoughts, RAZD.

Horrible news, but we'll be thinking of you all the way... and to be honest, I think that cancer has bitten off a little more than it can chew - it obviously doesn't know you like we do Go give it hell...

Hey, I hope it goes well for you man. I needn't say anything of the esteem you have here but that you deserve it. As we say: go nir leat. (That things will rise with you.)

I feel like I'm only echoing those who have posted here before me, but lest the echo die out for lack of reinforcement, Give it hell, RAZD!
You're one of the posters who make me want to keep coming back here, and I fully expect you to keep me entranced for years to come.

More news
Thanks all for all the good thoughts, they mean a lot to me. I've finished the first session - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6 to 8 hrs per day - and am just getting to the point where I don't get nausea thinking about food. Even still, my concentration is not at top notch, so I hope my posts don't seem disjointed or abrupt.
Thanks.

Hi RAZD,
I've only just discovered this thread. Thanks for sharing your journey here with us. I can only echo what others have said here -- you're a big part of EvC and your posts are full of intelligence, wisdom and humanity. Health is all the more precious when one has experienced its prolonged absence. Best wishes for your recovery, you will be in my thoughts

Re: More news
RAZD, I just saw this thread and I am so sorry to hear you have to go through this again. I am glad you have been proactive and caught it early! Reading your posts has been one of the things that helped me get through my own battle with cancer. I just got back from a month long dragonfly photography expedition in Ecuador, which shows how well I am doing.
Thank you for all the lessons in evolution and critical thinking! Be well my frind!
