So, why did you label this topic as "Noah's flood"? Why not Gilgemish's flood, or Melvin's flood? Do you read any newspaper or ever watch the tv news? How many times a year do you hear about a major flood somewhere that kills and displaces thousands of people? Earth is not just a rock orbiting a star. It is a very vibrant and dynamic planet the pulses and throbs with constant changes and upheavals. Any society whose culture does not contain a flood story is very rare and noteworthy.

You god deniers and bible deniers just don't get it. The whole purpose of the great flood was to wash away the worlds sins and evils. That's why god didn't just annihilate everything and start all over again. The flood was an act of purification, not eradication. But the flood itself was an act of horrific evil, as god himself admits. Therefore, it washed away all remnants of its own occurrence. That is why you see no current evidence of the flood. That is how we know that it must have occurred and what its purpose was. How does one prove that a flood did not occur in, say, Omaha Nebraska in c, 2200 bce? Must a flood always leave evidence, even a very deep flood? Could not subsequent events, a wind or sand storm perhaps or other anomaly, remove all evidence of such a flood?
