Meldinoor writes: I have also noticed how Christians in general, and especially Creationists tend to be the most skeptical (read pseudo-skeptical) of Global Warming. Anyone know why this is? It's essentially political and not Christian, perse. The agenda of promoting global warming entails promotion of global new world order which undermines nationialism. It expands federal governmental control, restricts personal freedom, restricts utilization of our own vast untapped hoard of natural resources such as oil, nuclear power, coal, gas, technology etc. It serves to empower and enrich 3rd world nations, communist nations and the Muslim block of totalitarian regimes by rendering western nations dependent upon them for energy and global redistribution of wealth via carbon taxes, etc. That evangelical Christians tend to be more conservative and freedom minded, causes them to be more politically rightist and conservative, hoping to conserve the nation's heritage as established by the Constitution and NT Biblical principled historical foundations. Don't forget the power of the mainstream media and the left leaning educational establishment. Conservatives know which media to rely upon for the rest of the story. Then, of course, follow the money. There's no denying that money talks, Leftist Al Gore et al figured that out a long time ago. BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW. Buzsaw writes: The agenda of promoting global warming entails promotion of global new world order which undermines nationialism *cough* Really?? Different nations cooperating to reduce emissions is a step toward a New World Order???

How exactly is it going to enrich 3rd world nations, besides the fact that they won't be ending up under water? Won't we instead be doing well to be off of "Muslim" and "communist" oil? I mean, we're empowering the Muslim bloc right now by buying their oil. Why the heck does pursuing cheaper energy solutions on our own soil mean empowering them? The problems you're talking about seem very much to be the problems we are in now, not the ones we'd be in if we took GW seriously. Getting rid of our dependence on oil will not only promote cleaner energy, but REMOVE our dependence on other nations. Respectfully, -Meldinoor

Won't we instead be doing well to be off of "Muslim" and "communist" oil? According to a consertive I know personally (co-worker), there are quadrillions of gallons of oil, if not limitless, just waiting to be tapped into. However, the socialist regime is unwilling to "drill baby drill". The "eco-nerds" are too worried about "global warming" (replace those quotes with actual air/finger quotes). Hey, he listens to Glen Beck so I don't blame him.

Hey, he listens to Glen Beck so I don't blame him Anyone who listens to this self-indulgent, egotistical, uneducated idiot and bafoon needs to have his head examined. Just my personal opinion. I know, I know this is off-topic One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge -- even to ourselves -- that we've been so credulous. - Carl Sagan, The Fine Art of Baloney Detection "You can't convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it's based on a deep seated need to believe." - Carl Sagan "It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring." - Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World

I'm not running off from responding to messages to me. I've Been out of town on business and a lot of responsibilities at home, functions etc. Thanks for your responses and patience. I am anxious to comment and or debate.
We of the minority POV always have more of the majority messages to respond to which becomes time consuming, especially when often research time is reqired for us. When we address controversial issues we often get multiple responses which often become difficult to keep up with. If we don't research, etc. we get hammered from all directions. When in the USAF boot camp reasons were required, not excuses. The above is my reason to be excused. Edited by Buzsaw, : remove wording BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW. Whether you consider spin or no spin, at least Fox News covers all of the news whereas our other networks either totally ignore or stiffle important pertinent news which may not bode well for their leftist darlings or agendas. My point was that you should not rely on popular media AT ALL for your science. Instead of just reading blogs and listening to talk show hosts or news reporters, read the source material yourself. Read the controversial e-mails in full, read papers on Global Warming. Look at the data, is it consistent, does it make sense?
I, personally, do not prefer any newsnetwork over any other, and I dislike spin whether it is liberal or conservative. Respectfully, -Meldinoor

I know, I know this is off-topic Hi DevilsAdvocate. Perhaps if you think that of him, you rarely ever watch enough about him to judge him objectively. Perhaps also if you'd watch some of the pertinent stuff he explains with the evidence he could enlighten you on whataheck is going on in our world which is going to greatly affect your life adversely. Well, I guess getting Buzsaw to talk directly about the emails is a lost cause. Despite the many times I asked him not to indulge in discussing websites and people's personal blogs, he continues to post people's personal blogs as his proof of the massive international fraud. And notice how he's managed to get people go off topic with this new world order bullshit.
Again, if these emails unquestionably prove this massive international fraud by the scientific community, I would expect it very easy for people to discuss directly from the emails themselves, not blogs that point to other blogs that point to other blogs as proof.

Buzsaw writes: Hi Peg. Given the suspect email revelations of some major climate scientists which they have evidently purposely destroyed, how can we know to what extent areosole cans have caused gaping holes in the Ozone layer? the science of the CFC disaster is well and trully established fact. A ban was made of producing CFCs' in the 80's and over the past 2 decades the hole has slowly been closing up. the problem with the CFC's was that when the particles were reaching the upper atmosphere, they disintergrated the ozone gas... the effects over australia has been widespread skin cancer...the highest rates of skin cancer in the world i believe...and the sun is extremely harsh. 10 minutes in the summer sun and you'll burn. Those effects are real and we feel it every day. So, if one polutant can cause the ozone to be depleated, then surely we need to look at other polutants that we are using and not simply deny that they are going to do any damage.

at least Fox News covers all of the news Sure. The shit that they make up and feed you as news. Glen Beck ranting about the New World Order? Is THAT news? or is it opinion? Hannity does the same. They might report some news here and there, but it's mostly their contribed conspiracy theories. I hate to say it, but The Daily Show, a COMEDY SHOW, is more honest than the most watched news channel. Who are we? We find that we live on an insignificant planet of a humdrum star lost in a galaxy tucked away in some forgotten corner of a universe in which there are far more galaxies than people -Carl Sagan

Here is why:
BuzSaw writes: Given the suspect email revelations of some major climate scientists which they have evidently purposely destroyed. When pressured for evidence, it almost always comes up as being deviantly "destroyed" by "them".
