I think you're taking the wrong approach. Even if you find answers to all the questions, it only means your opponent asked the wrong questions. There will always be mysteries on the frontiers of science for which we do not yet have answers. At one time lightning, stars and planetary orbits were mysteries, and the primitive explanations for them usually involved supernatural entities or forces.
The mistake of ID is an ancient one. ID is merely the interpretation of the present day limits of knowledge as evidence of the divine.

I think Joz is giving you the right answers, but maybe it would help if someone else took a shot at this.
Science takes no position one way or the other on things for which there is no evidence. Since there is no objective evidence for God one way or the other, science neither admits nor denies God's existence. It takes no position one way or the other.
You are naturally correct when you say there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreampt of in the philosophy of science, but science is merely a method for finding out all we can about the natural universe. The spiritual universe requires a different approach.

PS - Allison, you can't quote using angle brackets here because they're interpreted as if they enclosed HTML directives.

I think scientific was poor word choice on my part. Again, with my other post I realized that everyone may not be athiest. I was just tying to say that reality itself must have a reason to be here. But this is probably the wrong message board to address this topic on.
There's a Coffee House Forum where any topic can be discussed.

Hi Redstang!
You misunderstand. Your discussion has been just fine, excellent in fact. I only wanted to point out that the Coffee House Forum is a good place to open a thread to address the question of whether reality must have a reason to exist.
