Re: Responses Obfuscating My Position
As for global warming, perhaps we could use a little these days here in the Americas.
Nice to know your Christian charity extends to the US border and no further.

You're speaking as if enviro had absolute power? In France, we have lots of nuclear powre despite the green becoming the 3rd party(and was already part of gov 1997-2002). I've seen lots of american blaming greens for about anything but never seen them using their famous political powers, at least, not to a significant degree.

When one doesn't have an argument, they always attack the messenger.
Yes, Gore lost the 2000 election, but won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize! Go figure! The true winner should have been Irena Shedler, if anyone cares what the Peace Prize should be about!
When two people supposedly fight for the same cause - save the world from man-caused global warming, they are still two peas in a pod.

Both Fundamentalist christians and terrorists fight against gay rights, does that make them also two peas in the same pod?

Re: Perhaps equating Al Gore to Ben Laden is where you set yourself up for ridicule
I assume that the irony of the following is lost on you;
When one doesn't have an argument, they always attack the messenger.
Says the man who seems to think that a good way to attack climate science is to compare Al Gore to Osama bin Laden.
Yes, Gore lost the 2000 election, but won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize!
Which gives him the power to do... nothing. The Nobel peace prize is indeed a joke, which rather underlines its irrelevance here.
When two people supposedly fight for the same cause - save the world from man-caused global warming, they are still two peas in a pod.
So when Hitler supposedly fights for the Bible and Christianity, as he indeed claimed, that makes you and him "peas in a pod"?
Your attempt at an argument is pathetic.

Oh, wait. The enviros won't let us do that either.
Any other suggestions?
Yah. Tap the largest gas reserve in the US and possibly the world in upstate NY, Pa etc.
Yah, Drill our offshores as we are paying Brazil billions, via George Soros, Obama's socialist buddy's business concern and as China is doing off our shores.
Yah, Drill a few acres at Anwr in the cold outreaches of Alaska where the carabou will graze around the cite and do just fine.
Yah, Mine the good anthracite clean buring hard coal reserves in Utah etc where President Clinton declared it unlawful.
Yah, Do all of this and more while we advance other alternatives and we'll do just fine on our own, requiring our enemies to spend more time surviving on their own than annhiilating us infidels, thank you.

Granny, for the record, it was Muslim Jew hating nations, the non fundi Pope and Bishops of Rome and other socialist minded liberal non-fundi Christians who allowed Hitler to do in the Jews. Hitler in no way fought for the Bible which states, relative to Israel, "I will bless them who bless you and curse them who curse you."
It was fundi Christians like Corrie ten Boom who risked their lives to hide and rescue the Jews from Hitler and it was the largly Christian North America who did in Hitler and emacipated the Jews, siding with England allowing them to eventually become a restored nation in their own land.

Buz, try and keep up.
I am claiming that John10:10 and Hitler are not alike.
J10:10 is claiming that because Gore claims a belief in global warming and bin Laden claims a belief in global warming that they are "two peas in a pod".
I am claiming that despite the fact that Hitler claimed to be a Christian and John10:10 claims to be a Christian, they are not "two peas in a pod" and that such arguments are blatantly fallacious hogwash.
I am trying to highlight the flaws in J10:10's "argument". Okay?

Hi Subbie. FYI, it's a bit complicated but perhaps this will shed some light:
According to the Wall Street Journal,
The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil's state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil's Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil's planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan.
The oil reserves in Brazil's Tupi oil field are likely to make Brazil one of the world's top oil exporters. In the U.S., however, domestic companies are denied access to rich oil reserves in Alaska and off the East and West Coasts. This leaves us all to wonder: why is Obama in favor of drilling off Brazil's coast, but not our own? And if drilling is so wrong, why in the world are we paying for it?
UPDATE: Bloomberg is reporting an interesting link between Obama's Petrobras deal and billionaire George Soros:
His New York-based hedge-fund firm, Soros Fund Management LLC, sold 22 million U.S.-listed common shares of Petrobras, as the Brazilian oil company is known, according to a filing today with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Soros bought 5.8 million of the company’s U.S.-traded preferred shares.
Soros is taking advantage of the spread between the two types of U.S.-listed Petrobras shares, said Luis Maizel, president of LM Capital Group LLC, which manages about $4 billion. The common shares were 21 percent more expensive than preferred today, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
Petrobras preferred shares have also a 10 percent additional dividend, said William Landers, a senior portfolio manager for Latin America at Blackrock Inc.
Given that there will most likely never be a change in control in the company, I see no reason to pay a higher price for the common shares. Brazil’s government controls Petrobras and has a majority stake of voting shares.
Hmm. Isn't it a strange coincidence that Obama-supporter Soros would reposition himself within Petrobras to receive dividends just days before Obama's $2 billion in loans and guarantees for the country's offshore drilling operations?

Re: We Could Do Fine Alone, Thank You.
What left me speechless, Buz old bean, was your use of the term "socialist buddy's business concern." Just to illuminate for you, socialist means government-owned business. So the idea of a socialist business concern is rather oxymoronic, even for you. And that takes some doing.

That seems to be disinformation from the usual right wing suspects.

A: The president had nothing to do with the loan, which the Export-Import Bank approved for Brazil to buy U.S.-made equipment and services.
