Re: WOW!!!
Bush was a crackhead. I'd think that was more relevant to governing abilities than religious affiliation. But that's just me.

What I would like to know is what is the difference whether he was Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Shintoist, Jewish, Confucianist, Taoist or Atheist? What has a person's religious beliefs to do with his capabilities to govern? Anymore than what would be the difference whether a candidate was male or female; whether the candidate was heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual; whether the candidate was white, black or anything else? What has any of this got to do with issues? People should vote on issues not the person.
Well, you've conjured up an image of a bisexual Hindu black woman as president of the USA. There are so many reasons that's not going to work (all of them rooted in popular prejudice). Having a straight male black Christian doesn't seem to be working so well, with a mass movement formed who would seem to want to lynch him at the first opportunity, despite his promotion of policies that were favoured by Nixon.

Well I can't see that she would be any worse the 44 men who would have preceded her.

There used to be a comedian who presented his ideas for a better world, and one of them was to arm everyone on the highway with little rubber dart guns. anyone know of msnbc or CNN specifically cutting clips to show something that isn't there? Here two recent ones talked about fox. Admittedly the second is from an MSNBC political show but they seem to lay out a case.

Returning to the topic
Conservatives tend to see the majority of the media as biased toward the liberal viewpoint.
Liberals also frequently see parts of the media as biased toward the conservative viewpoint.
Studies have shown that each side is likely to see opinions contrary to their own as biased.
As perhaps 30% of people self-identify as liberals and 50% self-identify as conservatives, perhaps the conservatives have a stronger case.

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Funny, I can't.
Something about the picture in one a bit higher, seems to have some kind of effect on my screen that blocks everything following it. Oh well, if you can see it, must be my computer.
Only way I can read the posts is by going to the list of names at the top of the thread.

Re: How about getting back in touch with the topic theme?
That gave an additional hint.
There is something strange about Message 98. The "Profile", "Reply" and "Peek" buttons are missing. There's probably some bad html there.
That post has a couple of youtube videos. The one following is by Coyote and isn't anything you would find controversial (I think).
(abe) You might be able to see the missing post by clicking on "Coyote posts only" near the top of the page. Or try "DC85 posts only" to see if that helps looking at the bad one.
Edited by nwr, : add comment on possible work around.

Really: How about getting back in touch with the topic theme?
Seems to be an Internet Explorer problem. For me, the second image doesn't display (just an "X"), and there is nothing below.
Page works fine for Firefox.
Now back on topic. I'll bring this to Percy's attention via a PM.

Liberal media at work again
quote:
While Obama went to Besuki, a mostly Muslim school, for less than a year, he spent most of his four years in Indonesia studying at Santo Fransiskus Asisi, a Roman Catholic school run at the time by a stern Dutch priest. Classes began and ended each day with Christian prayers.
Source
Doesn't the stupid media realize that he only went to the Catholic school to hide his moslemness? He has bean planning to fool the American public since he was in the womb. Why does the media continue to abet this deception of his?

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
