Looking to expand?Although they came out last year, I bought them this year. Album of the year for me. Tons of death metal bands I like musically....but for one small problem I just cannot buy............The vocals.I can deal with a band using some death vocals for effect here and there...but an entire album is just too much for me.Love this band Kamelot...but what makes the song great is the evil vocals (I think its the guy from Dimmu):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Qdcl67H1JwIf you are interested in female fronted metal (may be too "clean" for your tastes though):Ever hear of Nightwish? 1 is pretty decent. 2, awful vocals. 3, eh.I just hate cookie monster vocals. Could never get into that style. Bathory sounds too primitive for me. Need incredible production.I did like the first though.

Love Maiden, but their last two had production problems. You would think with all the technology, producers available and th gazillion dollars they have they could do much better.Their new album is already done, summer the release. As for Iced Earth, first few albums with Barlow as vocalist were great. The stuff with Ripper I thought was ok and their last album with Barlow back was decent. Band seems to be rehashing same songs over and over.

I love metal...but usually hate the "death type" vocals. Except in rare occasions, usually for "effect", cookie monster screams/grunts annoy me. But for some reason, this album, by these guys.....I can listen to.YouTube

I mentioned COB in post 39. Although, its only one album I like by them, their second.
