This find probably doesn't mean a hill of beans. There's enough evidence out there (no, I'm not going into that on this thread) to validate Christianity that the find of Noah's Ark won't or shouldn't persuade someone to all of a sudden say, "wow, just the evidence I was looking for, I'll now become a Bible believing Christian".
You'll see that my theme on here is that we all have a world view and presuppositions before we ever see evidence. This won't persuade many, even if it is the true Ark. BTW, even AIG is taking a pretty cautious approach to this find at this point:

There's enough evidence out there (no, I'm not going into that on this thread) to validate Christianity There's a thread out there, Evidence for the Biblical Record, that as of yet, stands open. You are welcome to show us this "evidence". Peg is the only theist so far that even tried to give it a go (even though she failed miserably, she tried). "Some people think God is an outsized, light-skinned male with a long white beard, sitting on a throne somewhere up there in the sky, busily tallying the fall of every sparrow. Othersfor example Baruch Spinoza and Albert Einsteinconsidered God to be essentially the sum total of the physical laws which describe the universe. I do not know of any compelling evidence for anthropomorphic patriarchs controlling human destiny from some hidden celestial vantage point, but it would be madness to deny the existence of physical laws."-Carl Sagan "Show me where Christ said "Love thy fellow man, except for the gay ones." Gay people, too, are made in my God's image. I would never worship a homophobic God." -Desmond Tutu

I bet it would bring thousands back to the church. Which is why they keep throwing the claim out there, to get those back who don't think for themselves. I don't see any of this evidence you claim. Lots of people don't. It seems easier for you to just say "Those people don't believe because they don't want to" than it is to believe when we say "No, I don't see the evidence". And I am talking EVIDENCE. That wood would have to be tested and examined by many sources, not one that loses the sample the next day. The whole area would have to be excavated. Is it just a small wood shack or is it actually the size it should be? I am sure there would be lots of evidence around, I don't think the boat landed and everyone ran every direction willy-nilly. You are right tho, this won't amount to a hill of beans.

No. although it does seem like a decently big structure from the video (at the minimum as big as a small barn)

They say no in the article. Very little precision on this though. What is the next highest man made structure in the region ? What is the highest ever found man made structure ?
could all be interesting to know

I've gotta say...if I found a wooden structure with compartments roughly the size of a small to medium barn, my first instinct is "It's a barn, stupid. Maybe a residential structure." But I certainly don't jump to "It's a boat!" or worse, "it's the ARK!"

I'm a skeptic on this.
I would like to see it investigated by real scientists, not creation "scientists." As I recall, they find the ark every year or so up in those mountains somewhere. And every find has its diehard adherents. I'll wait for some real evidence, not something witnessed to by some group of evangelicals whose who goal is to find the ark. Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

I would like to see it investigated by real scientists, not creation "scientists." I saw this article on MSNBC where they quote archeologist Professor Paul Zimansky:

quote: But still, the evangelicals are 99.9% sure they've found it So much for their statistical abilities...
