Metal Mania (music)

Hey CA. I think it's hilarious that "Metal Mania" without the "(music)" qualifier would create much confusion for those thinking of participating in a thread concerning, say, the rising price of gold.Well, of course Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera and Iron Maiden reign supreme. Also, Avenged Sevenfold, Drowning Pool, Faith No More, Disturbed, Godsmack, Alice in Chains (more grunge metal, I guess), Sevendust, G & R, Velvet Revolver, Slipknot, Tool, Union Underground. As for death metal, I've been dipping into Lamb of God, In Flames, and Job For a Cowboy lately. Not my most favorite stuff, but tall fun nonetheless.Have a good one.

WTF????!It's a damn good thing Dethklok is a cartoon and (mostly) relegated to fantasyland. Because c'mon: Mermaid Murder? Seriously? What kind of perverse, fucked up lunatic is so severely demented as to write a song about something as sick, twisted and downright ... BOGUS ... as Mermaid Murder? Damn.I really can't take it. Mermaid Murder? Absolutely unacceptable! What's happened to our culture, our dignity, our MORALS???Mermaids are nice. Hey CS.COB opened for Megadeth in the Twin Cities area a couple years back. They were pretty good, IIRC. Also at that same concert were In Flames and Job For a Cowboy, which were both decent as well. I just gave a listen to your Unearth link -- respectable guitar work, and pretty wicked sound. To be honest, I've always been more partial to this type of vocals than the growly death metal standard, but to each his own, eh?Have a good one.
