2607.5 miles to go
We did get out this morning, right after the parade (which goes right by the house), an easy (8061- 8048) 13 miles.
(I had to slap my left hand which automatically reached for my calculator. Pathetic.)
Or the calculator button on my desktop. Pathetic indeed.
2620.5 - 13 = 2607.5 miles to go
Enjoy.

2547.5 miles to go?
Congrats Apothecus!
I feel I'm doing pretty good when my maximum speed is 21.5 mph! (my average is closer to 12-14 mph)
Chalk me up for another 66 miles from then until today.
Does that include the 21 miles?
2607.5 - 60 = 2547.5 miles to go
Enjoy

another step on the personal goal ... and 2,507.5 miles to go
First things first
odometer = 8,101 so that's 8,101 - 8,061 miles last recording = 40 miles this week, and 2,547.5 -40 = 2,507.5 miles to go.
That's (3,400-2,507.5)/3,400 = 892.5/3,400 = 26% of the goal done (oops had to use calculator for that one).
on my personal goal of 1,000 miles, I started at 7,801 and I now have 8,101 for a total of 300 miles so far (30%).
But I'll be off visiting relatives again this weekend, so I'll have to see what Sunday turns up.
Enjoy.

first 1,000 miles done?
Well done theodoric,
Put me down for 63.5 miles.
2,464.0 -63.5 = 2,400.5 miles to go.
That's ~ 1,000 of the ~ 3,400 miles completed already!
Enjoy

Quick Spin, 2,396.5 miles to go.
Just got my other bike on the road, and took a quick spin to check it out.
Only 4 miles, but enough (a) to show that it needs a new rear hub (pawls keep slipping) and (b) to get back home before the rain came.
I did hit a maximum speed of 22.2 mph on the way back home ...
2,400.5 - 4 = 2,396.5 miles to go.
Enjoy.

This week washout, 2,365.4 miles to go.
Not much riding this week due to rainy days.
31.1 miles total for the week.
2,396.5 - 31.1 = 2,365.4 miles to go.
35.1 miles more on my personal goal = 335.1 miles, or 33% of goal.
Enjoy.

Metric Century Week
Yeah, last week was a bummer.
My total was the same as last week.
63.5 miles.
2,365.4 -63.5 = 2,301.9 miles to go.
In (US) cycling a 'century' is a 100 mile ride and a 'metric century' is a 100 km (62.1 mi) ride.
My week was 62.8 miles (101.1 km).
2,301.9 - 62.8 = 2,239.1 miles to go.
and 62.8 miles more on my personal goal = 397.9 miles, or ~40% of goal (just a little shy).
Enjoy

Now a Full Century Week
Add 40.9 miles for the weekend, and that makes my week total
62.8 + 40.9 = 103.7 miles (a US Century)
397.9 + 40.9 = 438.8 miles, or ~44% of goal
AND
2,301.9 - 40.9 = 2,261.0 miles to go for Team EvC.
Enjoy

Adding another Century ... and then some
That's great Theodoric.
since last check in
101 miles
That adds another century:
2,261.0 -101 = 2,160.0 miles to go for Team EvC.
I only got in 52.0 miles with no rides on the weekend so
2,160.0 -52.0 = 2,108.0 miles to go for Team EvC.
This means we have totaled

3,400
- 2,160

1,240

miles to date.
Enjoy.

Re: Adding another Century ... and then some
Hi Theodoric,
...but I still hit my goal.
100 miles for the week.
Excellent.
I only got in 69.2 miles
2,108.0 - 169.2 = 1,938.8 miles to go for Team EvC -- almost half way there!
I'm at
438.8 + 52.0 + 69.2 = 560.0 miles (56%) with some possible miles this weekend (mixed with kayaking?). I passed my half way mark on monday.
Enjoy.

Re: Adding another Century ... and then some
Well,
Since the big white out ...
on my personal goal of 1,000 miles, I started at 7,801
now at 8476, so that makes 675 miles so far.
With 115.5 since last post
1,938.8 - 115.5 = 1,823.3 miles to go for Team EvC
Enjoy.

Hi Apothecus, wowsers!
Looks like 283 miles since last post.
Plus Theodoric
42 miles since last.
That's 1,823.3 -283 - 42 = 1,498.3miles to go for Team EvC
Message 1: It's about 3,400 miles from Providence RI to San Diego CA
We've passed the half way point! (44% left to go)
I'm now at 702 miles on my 1,000 mile goal (30% left to go) with 27.1 clocked so far this week.

Yeaah, know what you mean. My left wrist has been hurting (one bad pot-hole is all it takes eh?), so I've been going light, with every other day off and cutting back on some other exercises. Hope it doesn't grow into a real inconvenience for the metric century ride I have coming up.
Enjoy.

Metric Century Ride tommorrow
My friend Chris and I will be done his birthday ride tomorrow - one mile per year. He's a young whippersnapper, so it's a 62 mile ride.
A metric century is 100 km, or 62.137119 (approximately) miles, so we'll go the extra 0.14 miles.
95.0 miles since the last update, 797 miles on personal goal.
1,498.3 - 95.0 = 1,403,3 miles to go for Team EvC
Enjoy.

Metric Century Ride done
We did it.
On three scenic bike paths:
William O'Neill - 6.5 miles end to end, total 13.0 miles
http://www.dot.state.ri.us/...content/bikeri/scbp2009-10.pdf
Washington Secondary Bike Path is now joined to Coventry Bikeway - 15.0 miles end to end, total 40.0 (+13.0=43.0)
http://www.dot.state.ri.us/...content/bikeri/wsbp2009_10.pdf
Blackstone River Bikeway - 10.0 miles end to end, total 20.0 miles (+43.0=63.0)
http://www.dot.state.ri.us/...content/bikeri/brbw2009_10.pdf
My actual odometer reading was 62.8 miles
1,403,3 - 62.8 = 1,340.4 miles to go for Team EvC
and 860 on personal goal
Enjoy
