Passwords
I changed passwords on July 6, in case they were compromised.
I changed again on July 7, after the password encryption update was announced.
In order to login, I had to use the July 6 password. I have since changed that again to the July 7 version. I hope that is secure, or should I change again?

Re: Passwords
I was just forced off. It seems that the password has changed back to the Jul 6 value, instead of the value I changed it to earlier today.
The password switching back seems to complicate things.

Are you set to receive email when there is a reply to your posts? Perhaps these were the notifications, and the code that generates the content of the message is broken?

I'm not set for message emails but was set for discussion board emails.
Interesting.
My settings are the same as you describe. However, I have not received any mail surprises.

Re: Firefox problems
That could be a firefox bug.
Find your firefox profile directory. There should be a file there labeled "cookies.sqlite". Delete that file (make sure that firefox is not running before you delete it).
The file will be recreated when you next start firefox. However, you will lose all saved cookies.
I have not seen the problem myself, but I have seen reports of it. Apparently the cookies.sqlite file can occasionally become corrupted.
I am currently using firefox 3.6.6 on linux (opensuse 11.3, just installed yesterday).
