Londonitis
From a London perspective I think you are focusing too much on the stereotypes. London is full of Yanks, Hispanics (real ones ) and black guys who don't meet any American stereotype of being black. Thus the premise of your threesome might be a bit lost unless you feel the need to continually point it out. Which I am guessing you won't. Having seen your vids as posted here at EvC I don't think many here would even make the hispanic connection re you personally - Unless you explicitly drove the point home.
London is about as multi-cultural as it comes in world terms. But frankly so is most of the UK in terms of places you are likely to actually play? What is your UK itinery?
You could call yourselves the "Three American Fuckwits" and that would be about as accurate as anything else.
But let me sleep on it............
PS - England won the cricket against Pakistan today and frankly I am a bit the worse for pub-wear at the mo. So feel free to ignore my rampant beered up ramblings.
Anyway - When you here? I am gonna come to a gig cent London and get you/me very fuckin drunk indeed. I work in central Lon and live not far away at all.

Re: Londonitis

NYC and LA, yes. Maybe Austin, TX and Atlanta, GA also. Other than that, no. Just white, black, hispanic for most of the rest.
I get that.
But I actually meant the places you are likely to play in the UK. I am assuming that you will be sticking to the centres of big city urban hubs rather than touring tinpot towns and villages as a UK based comedy posse might do.
London, Manchester, Birmingham....
I guess student gigs (if you do any of those) might be a bit less varied in terms of audience depending which unis you play at.
That material I feel will translate well, but for the other stuff - is American pop cutlure, news, politics well known in the UK?
Shit yeah!!! We still have fucking 'Friends' playing virtually non-stop on our TV channels along with all the other sitcoms past and present, American movies are as well known here as there, we have LA based gossip followers as part of the morning news etc. In fact you could make jokes about the dominance and pervasity of such things and everyone would get it.
Another concern is our actual promo-kit and the video clips we use... Would a UK audience like to hear more about US celebrity news, war, American politics???
Yeah all of the above. The details of your political system might be a bit lost on many (Senators, governors, house of representatives etc. - I wouldn't know who does what or why without looking stuff up) - But stuff about Obama, Clinton, Bush will go down well as will anti-war stuff and celeb stuff.
The Star Spangled Wankers springs to mind......
Actually, that's not bad for t-shirts.
Now I know you are humorin me!!!
If you want a T-shirt idea I would suggest the "Stars and Stripes" tour but with the appropriate bits graffiti style crossed out and added to make it read the "Bars and Strippers" tour.
A Banksy style logo.
Anyway - Ignore me. I am well hungover and just ranting random drivel now.

I think British people love to know how other countries, particularly the USA, view our country and our people. So any kind of observational material on Britain from an American perspective would be good.
I agree.
But we don't like that sucky bullshit about how great it is here. It sounds false and patronising and we know it isn't particularly true.
Not that I can imagine Oni and his mates being into that sucky kinda thing. I am guessin they will be more into analysing why everything and everywhere is bit crap.

*Call yourselves the "Fanny Packers".
To you that probably suggests people who wear silly bumbags. Over here it means something very very different.
*NOT a serious suggestion.
Personally I like "America's Least Wanted" - I just think that musta been done before.
Other pointless suggestions from me:
Underpaid Over Sexed and Over Here
Scars and Snipes
Doobie Down Productions
Bruthas In Bars
Star Spangled Banter
Comedic Anarchy In The UK
North Atlantic Drift
Special Relations
But I am still hungover. And still talking drivel.

That's what I figured. This is my local comedy pub. It's within walking distance of my house. Banana Cabaret. South London's finest.

That's awesome. I think as long as this is the norm it'll be no problem translating our material.
In big cities it is and I don't think your material will need much translating at all.
That's cool, but are you telling me Star Spangled Wankers wouldn't sell? Cuz I really do like the sound of it. Would it make us look stupid?
Nah. Star Spangled Wankers would work. Self deprecation goes down well here and is usually considered something Yanks are not very good at. So yeah I think it would work.

The sad fact is that this is probably true. Just as well I spend so much time either inebriated or hungover I guess.

That's because we're not gay, you see.
Way I heard it is that you guys aren't fussy.
I heard that there are only two criteria applied by Dutch guys. Female and breathing. And that of those two only one of the criteria need be met for it to be an acceptable shag.

There is actually a cricket based euphemism. "Batting for the other side"................
If I was less hungover I am sure there is a pun in there somewhere.

Sorry to stick my fat oar in, but although I think it's a good title, would there not be some restrictions on where the word "Wankers" could be publicised?
I don't know. I wouldn't have thought it that big a deal displayed in pubs and stuff. But the honest answer is that I don't know.
But I have just seen Wounded's W*nkers suggestion and I think that is even better. Although I would have used a dollar sign to keep the Yank theme going "W$nkers"
"What's a wanker?"
But dude seriously - Does your mum live in a cave or go to bed at 7:30 Pm everynight or something?

Re: Londonitis
Cool room. I like that there's no stage.
It is a cool venue. And after the comedy it turns onto a sort of club with multiple rooms all over the place.
Self deprecation goes down well here and is usually considered something Yanks are not very good at.
Interesting. I've never heard that. I thought we were pretty good at it. I guess it depends on the bar one sets for self deprecation.
The stereotype of Americans is that they have a very high opinion of themselves and are kinda boastful. Sheepish self deprecation doesn't really fit well with that. Although self proclaiming oneself to be a "Star Spangled W$nker" is kinda brashly self mocking I suppose.
But y'know stereotypes are stereotypes. So make of that what you will. And I'd imagine that comedians from anywhere would be in serious trouble if they took themselves too seriously anyway.
