Re: Londonitis
Cool room. I like that there's no stage.

It is a cool venue. And after the comedy it turns onto a sort of club with multiple rooms all over the place.

Self deprecation goes down well here and is usually considered something Yanks are not very good at.

Interesting. I've never heard that. I thought we were pretty good at it. I guess it depends on the bar one sets for self deprecation.

The stereotype of Americans is that they have a very high opinion of themselves and are kinda boastful. Sheepish self deprecation doesn't really fit well with that. Although self proclaiming oneself to be a "Star Spangled W$nker" is kinda brashly self mocking I suppose.

But y'know stereotypes are stereotypes. So make of that what you will. And I'd imagine that comedians from anywhere would be in serious trouble if they took themselves too seriously anyway.

It is a tale of cricketing woe.

I can never show my face in Amsterdam again....

Until that is I change career, don my cricket whites and become a novelty sex worker in the red light district.

Aww, poor boy.

I can never show my face in Amsterdam again....

I would be surprised to see more than a handful of people in Amsterdam who even know about that. Or what cricket is, for that matter.

Until that is I change career, don my cricket whites and become a novelty sex worker in the red light district.

Re: Londonitis
But dude seriously - Does your mum live in a cave or go to bed at 7:30 Pm everynight or something?

No, she watches quite a lot of stuff. It just doesn't all sink in. She lives in a kind of bubble that was inflated in the 50s.

She genuinely thought that the first series of Alan Partridge was a real chat show.

"What a dreadful man that presenter is!"

*Huntard emerges, looking frightened and horrified over the things just done to him, and all that for some measly euros*

*Whispers* What has become of man, that he acts as such....

*Breaks down sobbing*

I think seperation of church and state should be done more here.

Dude, there is no separation of church and state here, there is only a financial separation. Other than that, the Christian's have their lobbyist in Washington, too.

(**Oni slowly walks out from behind a wall, having secretly video taped the events that just transpired between Huntard and Strag. "This will make for good blackmailing in the future," Oni thinks to himself. Huntard will surely pay any amount for the original tape. Oni is please that he will have all the free weed he wants in Amsterdam courtesy of Huntard.**)

Ever decide on a name for your comedy troupe?

Just putting together the last bit of video for the promo-kit. Turns out, Al just got his Comedy Central presents (for those who don't know, it is a half hour special on the US comedy network where Colbert and Stewart's show comes out of) - he films it in October.

Sooo, it may be centralized around him if Comedy Central decides to fund our trip abroad.

If not, definitely the "Gross and Juvenile" tour. J/k.

It's actually leaning toward "America's Least Wanted" (thanks for that, bro.) And, honestly, cuz of the non-language issue, we all love, "Three American Assholes."

But now we wait for Al, our ticket to fame. lol
