Check it out. You might learn something. Fine, so it's French. Again - why do you think it describes conditions in medieval Spain? Do you in fact have anything but anti-Muslim animus, here?

They did take it offline though, bastards, every other episode can still be seen.
Anyway, this is what he looked like in the episode:
So yeah, they did air it before, and only when they felt like some big bad man would spank them for it, did they choose not to. Fucking pussies.

Did anyone notice the name? I posted the information about building a mosque on the church in Cordoba, Spain as a symbol of taking that territory. Or because, being Muslims, they wanted a mosque. For which reason (according to every source I can find) they bought the land on which the half-built church stood in what would probably have been an even better expression of naked military triumphalism if they'd just, y'know ... taken it.
Is it just a coincidence that this mosque is also named Cordoba? Well, it could be because the group building the center is called the Cordoba Initiative. Or is that just a coincidence? Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.

For reasons which are obvious enough, people celebrate what was good of its time.
If someone named something after Thomas Jefferson, then we'd suppose that they were in favor of freedom and democracy rather than slavery and the disenfranchisement of women. If someone named something after Isaac Newton, we'd suppose that they were in favor of math and science rather than alchemy and Biblical hermeneutics. And if someone names something after Cordoba, we may suppose that they are celebrating tolerance and multiculturalism rather than the jizya, since of its day Cordoba was a shining example of how people of different faiths could get along. If I was to object that since I know more physics than Newton and am a better libertarian than Jefferson and a stronger supporter of the Free Exercise Clause than some Andalusian emir, all three institutions should be named after me, this would be missing the point rather. Anyone can be of their time, it's being ahead of one's time that's the trick. "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."

Well, it's a good thing then that no one has asked you to do that and that it has nothing to do with the topic.
Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I saw a video yesterday about the protest. A black guy walked through the crowd and was harrased because they thought he was a muslim. He wasn't. He was apparently just a contractor. He was wearing a do-rag, so they must have mistaken it for a Taqiyah. I am at work and since Youtube is blocked, I am unable to link to it.
Are they really just protesting the "sanctity" of the site? I mean, the whole crowd started screaming at this guy.... Your god believes in Unicorns

Of course not, that's just a convenient excuse.

Are they really just protesting the "sanctity" of the site? For many of the protesters, yeah. Which is stupid to consider this site holy in anyway. - Oni

So yeah, they did air it before, and only when they felt like some big bad man would spank them for it, did they choose not to. Fucking pussies. Thanks for the correction, Huntard. So they did end up censoring it, like any TV station can do. If I recall, they also censored the Scientology episode too. - Oni

For many of the protesters, yeah. It just doesn't seem that way to me. I would say some, yes. But given the way they reacted to someone who appeared to be muslim and (most likely) the propensity of a majority of the protestors to ALSO be fans of Faux News, I would say that some may be protesting for the sanctity of the site and most are protesting what is being built. Yes, I am stereotyping here. Though A LOT of the signage I have seen in the rallies are of an anti-Islamic nature. See the video Huntard linked to. Notice the "Sharia" sign? But given the way they reacted to someone who appeared to be muslim I am in no way defending their actions, but you can expect those reactions when tension is high...like a feeding frenzy (I watched too much Shark Week).
I would say that some may be protesting for the sanctity of the site and most are protesting what is being built. The media is showing it that way, but is that accurate or typical sensationalism? I couldn't tell you, I haven't been to the site. And I should have, and was going to last Friday, but I ate too much in China Town and got lazy. True story.
Though A LOT of the signage I have seen in the rallies are of an anti-Islamic nature. Can you really blame people for being anti-Islamic on the site of where the towers were hit? It's not right by any sense, but it is expected. - Oni

Not when originally airing it, and it is still available online. Though that episode did lead to Isaac Hayes (Chef) leaving the series. On which they did a very good episode as well.
If I recall, they also censored the Scientology episode too.

For one thing, it's not a mosque, it is a community center that contains a prayer area that is open to anybody that wants to go in and pray or contemplate the religious associations with 911.
In some parts of the world, especially in the Middle East, Mosques only allow non-Muslims in. Edit: And yes, I'd like to see part two of South Park episode 200. Comedy Central won't even release the episode or others that have followed after it to the website. Edited by Tram law, : No reason given.

That doesn't sound quite right. Are you sure about this?
