I have been participating here for a little over a year and while the current crop of participants is excellent, there are a few people who I personally miss.
Evolution:
mister Pamboli is sorely missed.
Dr. Tazmius maximus is another.
nos482 while occassionally annoying to others did start some interesting conversations.
SLPx. He has been one of the longest participants in the EvC debates in multiple forums and knows the creationist landscape better than just about anybody. It is a true pity that he has decided to refrain from posting.
Creationists:
Tranquility Base. He was one of the best creationist debaters ever to post at EvC in terms of his demeanor and willingness to at least think about what you said rather than the typical knee jerk response most creationsts bombard us with.
Peter Borger. He was extremely arrogant and annoying but started or was involved in some of the most active and interesting threads.
who do you miss?

Re: SLPx
Hi Moose,
My intent with this thread was not specifically to get those with suspended priveledges back. I just wondered who people remembered in particular that are not currently active. I am pleased though that as a result Taz made a reappearance though brief.

Have no fear..or at least reduced shakes...Mammuthus is slowly returning from a week of eating his way through some of the finer restaurants in Manhattan and touching base with some old museum pals.
I thought I would lend some celebrity to the NY Marathon but P.Diddy and his bodyguards beat me to the punch...and it is kind of hard to run 26 miles with about 2 pounds of arroz con camarones in ones stomach.

Hey DT,
I lurk over at IIDB but you guys have usually chewed up and spit out all the creo's by the time I log in
Morpho/Quetzal should be posting again soon...or so a little bird told me
I am glad to see pangloss/SLPx posting over there...his war with Amazon.com over Safarti reviews is pretty funny. Actually reading the posted reviews of the Safarti crapology on the Amazon site is funny.
cheers,
M

Hi Hambre,
Sadly I was to late to register for the expo and could not attend. I was particularly interested in Fred's presentation "Caddyshack as a model of information loss in DNA: Proof of the Ark"
Sadly the envelope with my registration fee came back because of insufficient postage as I mistakenly addressed it to the Wicked Witch of the East rather than West which is more expensive...I tried to relay my mistake to the postman but Toto apparently did not understand.
I would have really liked to have seen the U of Oz campus as I heard that such luminaries as Kent Hovind often receive their degrees from flying monkeys..and who wouldnt want to see that?

Hi Q,
Glad to hear you made it out of Ukraine in one piece. Especially if you flew Aeroflot where when the captain says "we will be on the ground shortly" you start hoping you actually have a life insurance policy. Just to maintain geographical equivalence, I was not too far away from you last week in NYC...a colleague of mine (who's paper I sent you ) and I were modelling hyperdisease using beer, wine and white Russians...things did not go well for the hypothesis as none of us became extinct.
Like you I am mostly lurking since I came back from NY with a nice pile-o-crap to do...and if that lame excuse is good enough for Fred Williams it is good enough for me ...however, I have not watched Caddyshack recently.

What happened to Rrhain, Rei and schrafinator?...and I vote to force Quetzal to post again...it is just not the same without him. I am sure Mr. Hambre feels the same way about Rrhain

I missed the DNAunion vs Rrhain battle...on the other hand, DNAunion disappeared as well.

The Moose is mightier than the mammoth...
Hi Hambre,
I have been around the entire time in lurker mode. I suspect Dan has been as well (either that or their is an Eliza Dushku show we don't know about that is keeping him occupied...like a Paris Hilton downloadable video sequel). Besides being extremely busy, the entire Moose anti-humor-protect-those-poor-creationists campaign ( specifically Syamsu) has completely soured me to the forum. I asked Moose to support Syamsu's statements since Sy refuses or explain why he has systematically picked off the likes of Scott Page, Darwinsterrier and is making a great effort to knock crashfrog off. He ignored the request and has since then been posting himself in the humor section and completely ignoring any and all forum rule violations by Syamsu and many other creationists. So I figure, I'm really very busy, none of the creationists on this site are interested in hearing what a scientist has to say anyway (since being ignorant must be so much fun), nobody will read any of the references I post, I don't even live in the U.S. anymore...so I figure to hell with it...more time for research. I will lurk until Moose picks you, Quetzal, mark24, holmes, schraf and crashfrog off. Then I will stop even that. EvC is just not as interesting or fun anymore. In any case, I am giving Moose his big birthday, Xmas, and groundhog day present wrapped up all in one nice package. I am out of here like Page and DT and he did not even have to go to the trouble of suspending or banning me. He can enjoy Syamsu's lucid and informative posts in peace (though he may have to suspend or ban Mr. Bound to get that peace back). I'm taking a break of indefinite length. If you need a reference barrage once in a while you can contact me through Percy.
