Although im an atheist, i often wonder what makes you theists so sure that that your religion is the one true religion.
for example:
why do you think allah is not real? Why do you believe that perun, zeus, odin, Thor, Vishna, Shiva, Ramma, Jupiter, Mars, Mithra, the grate đuđu up on the mountin and all the others are fakes while your god is the true one.
and on a noter note why do you believe that you version of the bible is the true word of god, and all the other versions interpret the word of god wrongly?

Because I think I have evidence for the existence of the christian God, but not the others.
you would not mind sharing this evidence whit us?
I believe the original texts are the inspired word of God. Since I have no formal knowledge of hebrew or greek, I have to trust that others do and that they translated it correctly.
I do not believe my 'interpretations' are inspired, however I do think that there are less areas of genuine disagreement then we are left to believe sometimes in the interpretation of the Bible.
well there is the problem of Constantin doing the editing of the bible and selecting wich scripts are holy and not, some scriptures that where suposedly writen by jesusus family the lost scroll of judas..... it is difficult to say how distorted his teachings got trough the past 2 millenia.

Actually there is no evidence I know of that says he selected any of the content, only that the books be imposing and suitable for the churches he was creating.
actualy there is tons of it, and moste what was not allowed in the bible got burned by punishment of death if one did not obay the order. sadly because of this we may never know what was thrown out and why.
things that got thrown out the gospel of judas where jesus tells judas to sacerifice him so that he can be the lamb that saves all from sin. i can imagine why this got thrown out if you read the bible rome washes its hands of the murder of jesus if jesus got sacerificed by the romans that might look a bit bad for rome.
Sozomen, Historia Ecclesia, Book 1, ch.21. This describes the results of the council. (Chapter 17 onwards describes the council). Constantine writes to all the cities ordering the destruction of the works of Arius and his followers, and the penalty of death for any who refused to destroy them. The letter is not quoted. There is also an anecdote where a Novatianist bishop is interviewed by the emperor. The bishop agrees to sign the creed but not to resume communion with the Catholics. Constantine tells him to get a ladder and ascend into heaven alone, then; but there is no mention of action against the Novatianists.
from The Council of Nicaea (Nicea) and the Bible

Re: The Other Guy's Proof
wrong-wrong-wrong-wrong
I did
wron-wrong-right-wrong.
That right being christianity.
well i kinda did not find evidence for any religion, so that made it wrong, wrong, wrong. though from what i know and if i had to chose a religion it would be Buddhism i can swallow almost anything they throw at me except wheel of life reincarnation thing even if it seems more plausible then a god watching over us.
why Buddhism
1. reason: Buddha said do not believe me on my word only listen to me then decide. while most other religions do the opposite
2. the teachings are simple non interpitable and true (up to the wheel of life)
3. the whoole wheel of life explains why there is no rule book left behind you are ment to find out on your own and you have etearnity to do it
4. their morals make xian, and other religions morals look like they came from a sociopath

Re: The Other Guy's Proof
Oh really ? There is no 'love your neighbor' in Budhism. I'm pretty sure a homeless is better our western world and it's christian heritage rather then in a Budhist country, where he will simply be told that he must endure the result of Bad Karma in past lives. It either values the life of an insect as highly as the life of a human, or the life of a human as lowly as the one of an insect. Either extremes make for a bad social morality
i can see you did not compare christianety whit buddism when you where 14-15
to summarise it for you
The four noble truths are:
1. There is suffering.
2. There is cause for suffering.
3. There is cessation of suffering.
4. There is path leading to the cessation of suffering.
One does not have to read the Tipitaka from beginning to end to understand the four noble truths. Each chapter is a sutra (synopsis), which Buddha would have used to explain the same four noble truths to his audiences under different circumstances.
1. Right View- To understand wholesome deeds, unwholesome deeds and comprehend the law of Karma.
2. Right Intention- The intention of non-greed, non-hatred and non-delusion.
3. Right Speech- Abstaining from false speech, malicious speech, harsh speech and idle chatter.
4. Right Action- Abstaining from killing, stealing and sexual misconduct.
5. Right Livelihood- Abstaining from wrong and corrupt means of livelihood.
6. Right Effort- Awakening zeal for abandoning of unwholesome states and arising & sustaining of wholesome states.
7. Right Mindfulness- The four foundations of mindfulness (satipattana) namely contemplation on body, contemplation on feelings, contemplation on mind and contemplation on mind-objects.
8. Right Concentration- Abandoning of five hindrances namely lust, ill-will sloth-torpor, worry-agitation and doubt through jhanas.
i got this from A brief summary of Buddhism
short explenation of the 4 noble truths
1 there is suffering you can see it every day, everywhere
2. the cause of suffering we are the cause, trough our actions desires, greed.....
3. there is cession of suffering, when you stop being greedy you do not suffer from the lack of not having enough. when you act the right way you can stop the suffering of others like you example you help the poor guy not tell him he has to endure...
4. if you follow the path your suffering ends and the suffering of others is at least made better.
so you see you do not have the right idea about buddhism a true budhist would help the poor man not tell him that he should endure
