In the full quote I first posted, Axe posits an imaginary world with abiotic amino acids; then he claims that our world, in contrast, is without abiotic amino acids.
If you read that quote differently, could you explain further?

I am not seeing in your quote, where he uses "without" with respect to amino acids. I clicked your link and it doesn't take me anywhere, though I assume you were probably referring to Message 10.
In any case, I think we are getting sidetracked. Surely the main problem with his paper is in his dubious arguments for irreducible complexity in the proteins, rather than in what he says about the origin of amino acids.
