I am sure Wise was having a laugh. But the thing is, Wise's posts were so off the wall, so full of garbage that I don't think it would be that big a surprise if he is a sincere creationist, all the signs were there! Re the photos, there are many sincere Christians who have them on their websites as proof of Jesus and God. It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. Brian.

Hmm, I can't say that I am sorry that Wise is suspended, but I do have to tell you that I was irritated far less by him that I was by jdean. jdean was rather personally abusive to me and did his best to offend and goad me, yet he was never suspended. He took his ball and went home eventually because I wised up (eventually) and completely ignored him. I find this a greater problem than Wise's behavior. I'd rather have an unresponsive poster around than a angry, agressive one who goes after people personally. [This message has been edited by schrafinator, 10-01-2003]

Having been familiar with Wise from back when Newsmax Forum was up and going, I would agree. He's sincere, but having his focus on the clouds rather than on the Book, seems to be clouding up his understanding on many of the principles set forth in that book as to how to relate to God and man. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't recall if the jdean situation was in the "Free For All" but my now very vague recollections were that I thought 1) You were strong enough to take care of yourself (who here at this forum doesn't fear "the wrath of Schraf"?), and 2) You were smart enough to learn to ignore him. I think the "Wise" situation might have resolved itself eventually when people learned to ignore him, but in the meantime his input and influence was causing big messes. That said, perhaps the powers that be were negligent in not squashing jdean.

It was not his unresponsiveness that bothered me. It was that he thought it his right to post anything he wanted to, in any "Free For All" topic. He indicated he would cease doing such only when an official guideline rule was established saying he must. But, I think it is only common sense that, even in the "FFA" forum, a topic exists to discuss that topic. Perhaps I should have established a special "FFA" topic just for "Wise", with the instructions that if he stepped outside of that topic, he was suspended. Anyhow, a suspension need not be terminal. If he contacts Admin, and promises to behave, he will be reinstated. Adminnemooseus

Aww, shucks, thanks. (The 'wrath of Schraf?' Really?) The "jdean situation" took place in various forums, including the FFA. Probably the worst of it was there. I guess I was a little disturbed at how downright viscious he was and even more disturbed by the fact that his focus was so intensely on ME. I actually wondered if he was going to start trying to get to me outside of EvC.

I was able to handle it, as you said, but it sure would have felt good to have seen him get canned by you EvC gods.
