Hey, Percy, can I quote you out-of-context on that?

Send it to all of those quote lists that you can find. Label it "Percipient, prominant evolutionist debate leader" ------------------ "Illuminant light, illuminate me."

I'd say it's the idea that evolution == atheism. Atheism may be suggested by evolution, but it by no means is neccessitated by evolution, of course. I know what you mean, but of course in the same way I am labeled YEC for being Christian. Go figure. ------------------ "Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind." - Albert Einstein

The scary thing is that if it were sent to some creationist orgs., I'd bet it would be used no questions asked. ------------------

Here is another one, Hitler and Stalin were Darwinists and therefore evolution is evil because it leads to nazism...I have been hit with this gem of stupidity at least 4 times this year.

The Cambrian explosion falsifies evolution (presumably it is expected under the YEC paradigm?).

What about "Look around you. Just by looking around you have to come to the conclusion you were created". This was just posted by Messeniah over on another topic about how do you know your religion is the correct one. [This message has been edited by kjsimons, 10-01-2003]

Not really a misrepresentation as such, but I find an inability to understand their own arguments most irritating.
"The eye is irreducibly complex" "No it isn't, [quote study demonstrating theoretical possibility]."
"That's a just-so-story, you can't show it happened that way." "Arrrrggggghhhhhhh!"

My favourite has to be: "Evolution has been proven by the natural selection of peppered moths, so that proves God didn't create all species just as they are today."

Yes, that is a good example of a creationist misrepresentation.
