Why should I censor myself for some kid on the internet?
A more apt question would be, "Why not?" I presume that there are occasions when you do "censor yourself". Or do you use the same language in a job interview?
Do you want to come across as an intelligent, science-minded grownup or not?

Then a science site is an odd place to visit. You could probably find an easier place to hide from prospective employers.

Nobody's offended by Hooah's use of the word "fuck" in all its glorious conjugations.
Perhaps it offends nobody among your circle of friends and associates who consider it glorious in it's conjugations.
In a (probably apocryphal) story from World War Two, a dejected soldier was sitting beside a broken-down jeep. When asked, "What's the problem, soldier?" he replied, "Fuckin' fucker's fucked."
A one-word language. I definitely consider its conjugations glorious.
On the other hand, I do agree with what some others have said, that when a word is over-used, it loses its impact. Fucking is something that should be done judiciously.
Buzsaw writes:
For the most part, my points relating to civil rights had nothing to do with race.
Part of the problem with articulation seems to come from a lack of circumspection. Did you really not stop to think about connecting the decline and fall of western civilization with Martin Luther King?

What bothers me most about that post is that you used the word "kwon" instead of "on".
ABE:
As it happens, I did misunderstand what you wrote. I mistook, "I've known about that research for years," for something like, "I've no doubt that...."
Mind you, I do the same thing when there are no spelling mistakes. Careful reading is just as important as careful writing.
Edited by ringo, : Completely chnaged the point of the post.

Maybe we should wait until Google comes out with a Buzsaw-to-English Translator.

Nope, I am calling Buzsaw, the poster, a scumbag. I do not know who the guy sitting behind the computer is.
"The poster" is the guy sitting behind the computer, posting.
"Buzsaw" is a nickname, maybe not his legal name but still a name that refers to the person. He may be called "Grandpa" by some or "Buddy" by others or "George" by other others but it's still the person that you're talking to.
His on-line persona may be different from his real-life personality but it's still the person that you're talking to. This isn't a fantasy role-playing game; it's a (fairly) serious discussion board.
Edited by ringo, : Added "maybe".

You don't "have" to listen to anything. You're a smart young whipper-snapper. You can probably figure out how to operate the door.
That's kinda the point being made here. Nobody "has" to read your posts. Personally, I find your posts worth reading. I can't say the same about hooah's.
You have to put something attractive into your posts if you want people to read them. In your case, it's usually knowledge. In my case, it's probably style over substance. In hooah's case, what is it?
Can he afford to chase the customers away?

I've yet to belittle anyone.
You can strangle the definition all you want but calling somebody a "scumbag" is way out of line. It isn't even in the parking lot of the ballpark of acceptable behaviour.
You should be ashamed of yourself, if only for making people agree with Buzsaw.

Certainly not by faulting others for not achieving the impossible.
Nobody's doing that here. The criticism is contructive. If somebody like hooah wants to be taken seriously, he needs to raise his own sights. Nobody will do it for him.
