Morality has nothing to do with the question that I can see.
Killing an animal is a crime when a particular society deems it a crime.

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Correct. The moral outlook of a particular society.
I do not see how there can be any substantive answer beyond that.

But I will ask (given that humans are animals) why don't you kill other humans? Simply because it is illegal to do so?
So far I have not yet had sufficient reason to kill a human.

Your post is a great example for support for my position. There is simply no general rule. I have swatted many a bug, and also not swatted many a bug. It all depends on the particular incident.
I enjoy eating chicken and quail and duck and deer and turkey and so have killed them. But I have also many times not killed chickens and quails and ducks and deer and turkeys.
I may have killed a maggot, but not that I can remember. I have simply avoided them and left them to do their work.
Sorry but I see nothing psychopathic in any of that.

Straggler writes:
You say that you have "quite often" had sufficient reason to kill other living creatures. Yet when I ask if the same "sufficient reason" applies to humans you say you "I don't know".
Too funny.
Guess what, each case is separate and individual. What might be sufficient reason in one instance may not be sufficient reason in another.
Straggler writes:
To paraphrase: "I may have killed a human, but not that I can remember".
Good thing I did not say that then isn't it.

Straggler writes:
When is uncaring disregard or mere annoyance "sufficent reason" for killing a human in the same way that you have implied about bugs?
Good thing I don't remember saying uncaring disregard or mere annoyance is sufficient reason for killing a human. In fact, I can't even remember saying uncaring disregard was a reason to kill bugs.
Straggler writes:
Yes because that would imply psychotic tendencies wouldn't it?
It was you that said you "don't know" if your reasons for killing maggots were "sufficient reason" for killing humans.
I would suggest that being the non-psychopath that we both agree you are, that your previous answer didn't very well reflect the true nature of your personal morality witrh regard to different forms of life.
Which is what this thread is supposed to be about.
Whatever.
But I also do remember saying that each incident is a separate entity and so sufficient cause is only relevant to that particular incident.
I believe you had asked
Straggler writes:
And would your "sufficient reason" depend at all on what species of creature you were engaged in killing?
A maggot Vs a human for example.
to which I replied "I don't know. Sorry."
As I pointed out before, I cannot remember killing a maggot.

I've had far more opportunities to kill bugs than humans it guess.
As I said above, I have not yet been in a situation where I have had sufficient reason to kill a human.

Straggler writes:
Are you now saying that there is no moral dimension to your lack of killing humans as compared to bugs it is just lack of opportunity?
Nope, don't think I said that.
Straggler writes:
What about your reasons for killing bugs? Have you killed bugs more blithely than you would kill humans?
I don't think I knowingly kill anything with a lack of due concern.
Look, I'm still totally lost about what you are trying to get at.
I make decisions on a case by case basis and try to use the available knowledge at that moment.
Their ain't no hard and fast rules.

A psychopath stands in front of you with a bug held between two fingers of one hand whilst a random person is held with a knife at their throat by the other hand.
He asks you which he should kill, makes it clear that one of the two is going to die and the other live depending on your choice.
Which do you choose?
A three handed psychopath. Neat.
Why choose either?
Why remove the moral obligation and the resultant consequences from the psychopath?
Why not just stop the psychopath?

Re: Moral Dilemma
For the same reason that I find almost all the moral dilemmas so silly, they limit the options. But fortunately I am a human and so am not so limited.
Regardless, I still offered several other choices which answer the question.

I offered several choices, maybe you did not notice.
I am not questioning any fact, I am telling you that as a human, I do not have to accept the dilemma.
