A serious bug has been reported with the [url] dBCode. The bug was released on Saturday, December 11, 2010, a little over a week ago.

The bug has been fixed, but messages posted during this period that used the [url] dBCode will not be decoded properly when edited or peeked. If you know of any such messages please post to this thread and provide a link. I will fix such messages. Do not attempt to fix such messages yourself unless you're very confident and careful.

Incidentally, while editing that post there was an option near the bottom of the screen to post the edited message as the opening post in a new thread. I don't recall seeing that option since my Admin privileges were removed. Am I seeing another bug?

I don't recall the history, but this feature has been public since at least 2.1. It's much more useful for admins, though, since they can start a new thread anywhere with any member's posts, while members can only start a new thread with their own messages in forums where they have "new thread" permissions.
