Did you actually memorize that number? Or did you just make up a long one to represent the number that the woman actually said?
No, I made it up.
There was no way I could remember the number - I am only half way to being an idiot savant.
I don't even remember my own phone number.
I thought that putting "[insert date and phone number here]" would have been less humourous.
(Hopefully I was correct.)

I'm not sure why you find it funny.

I know it’s luckier to use your birthday and your phone number

how likely does that sound to come up?
cavediver writes:
The chance of her own birthday and own phone number occuring in the lottery draw is astronomically small.
So, which number combination should she use that is not astronomically small?

Here you had a chance to gather both birthday and phone number information (two essential factors in The Hunt and Chase) in one fell swoop and you blew it.
My girlfriend would probably find it more offensive if I 'chased' stupid girls.

Clearly, any combination that's not her own.
But everyone knows that it is luckier to use your birthday and your phone number!!
But her numbers sound unlikely!!!
Are you ignoring the logic paradox?!
She needs a real philosopher to guide her out of her quandary.

she'd be picking numbers which are guaranteed not to come up.
She probably writes extra numbers on the lottery form so that she can use her birth year...
An aside:
There is an interesting correlation...
People that think it that it is more likely to roll 2+6+3+1 than 6+6+6+6 (on 4 dice) usually believe in astrology.
I am guessing that she believed in astrology.

Re: Earth to have Two Suns
The Telegraph should know better than to repeat anything that the Daily Mail reports.
The only thing that out-weighs the Daily Mail's ignorance is their racism.
(They once claimed that black holes should 'go home'.)
