Are you getting the same impression that he's really young? Like a teenager or something...

One who has just discovered that he/she knows all there is to know about the world? And can't believe why he/she's getting such a grilling here?
I reckon.

Re: Mirror neurons and empathy
Surely you didn't want to give me the mechanism to my "silly theory",(why, were you afraid?) but in a way you dit it.
The fucked up thing is, you know less about the mirror neurons than you do about your own theory, so you have no clue how the two could be linked, even if you wanted to link them.
Mirror neurons report to the central nervous system, and that is all. They don't, and can't, in any way, affect DNA. In fact, you don't even need the mysterious mirror neurons. You could just as easily said the eyes were the mechanism, since they work the same as mirror neurons do reporting to the CNS what they see.
But you're waving your dick around spouting out scientific terms and grasping to anything that can save you, with the hope that something will pop out of your insane theory that makes some sense. It won't though, and it's probably best if you chill for a sec. and do a bit of reading on the subjects you are trying to discuss.
Or just keep looking like an ass...either way.

An apology due....
As much as it pains me to say it zi ko is in fact correct with his theories.
Caprican humans can transmit information down through generations via their genes (rather than culture).
It is counter intuitive but that's why we have the song 'All along the watch tower'.
The information somehow gets coded into the genetic structure via some very ordered sections of dna that do, in fact look designed (although design to match Caprican human dna).
About 150,0000 years ago there was an event that molecular genetics pinpoints as the time frame when Caprican dna merged with ours.
I can't remember the name of the documentary, though.

Now wait just one frackin' minute there! Wasn't that "Eve" also half Cylon?
. . .
Oh yeah. It's starting to make sense now. It's that Cylon DNA that makes it work. It just sits there dormant, waiting to be switched.
... where the frak is that music coming from?

Those who do not learn the lessons of science fiction are condemned to live them.

I have just had a terrible premonition: the end is nigh - and it will make no fraking sense!
And then we will find out that the Great Script Writer In The Sky was making it up as he went along, with (ironically) no plan.

Look at all these nerds demonstrating their geekiness by making subtle references to a science fiction television show...
...which, by the way, was written by a Mormon.

Re: Check your premise
epigenesis and epigenetics are scientific evidence that i feel support my hypothesis. As it says about that organisms react and ghange as regads to theier phenotypes, in reacting to enviromental ghanges, some times up their DNA, in animal and plants, fit well with my sayngs. It is not difficult to accept that organisms know, feel their enviroment, and react to changes that take place in it.Surely there is not a clear evidence of a direct action on DNA, although tthere are some reports about it, but as if it taking place over thousants of years, it can't be prooved.Of course all the known mechanisms (natural selection, mutations, genetics) remain working. It remains for biologists to find out the mechanisms for this function, and the tissues where it is happening. Maybe all tissues are involved somehow, but surely neural ,as its nature suggests, is the main one.
Empathy is very much related to mirror neurones. As it is a knowledge staff as well, it can have the same inpact on genome, as other experiences have. So i can say that it significance for evolution is going to be accepted.
The phenomenon of punctuated equilibrium and stasis are well established facts, and my hypothesis explains it quitely well.During some geological periods enviromental changes are more intense than others.Organisms neural systems are feeling them and so they give their relative messages for evlutional proccess to start going.

Hi, Zi Ko.
zi ko writes:
The phenomenon of punctuated equilibrium and stasis are well established facts, and my hypothesis explains it quitely well.
But, other hypotheses also explain this quite well, and some of those hypotheses have evidence for their mechanisms.
That's why we accept those hypotheses, and not yours.
