hi there
You seem to infer a lot from the quote that is not there. If you mean that he implies that there is corroborative evidence from other fields of scientific investigation, I could provide you with quotes from leading experts in those fields to show that the theory of evolution has got holes in it all over the place.
The fact that there is conflict between creationists is unfortunate if it is true, but one thing that they will never have to disagree on is that complex biological systems and inspiring design features in nature could come about by chance.

Ah, I love it when creationists try that one Feel free to post quotes, but only after you've read these following four links:
First off, about those quotes...
Quotations and Misquotations
and...
Quote Mine Project: Examining 'Evolution Quotes' of Creationists
Next, would you say that this is fair?

Finally, how many "Steves" do you have?
Project Steve: Humorous Test of Scientists' Attitudes Towards Intelligent Design
Read these four, and then feel free to post all that you want! I'd bet that you won't, though

The fossil record is not compatible with YEC suggestions.
There is no justifiable reason that fossils deeper in the
ground should be increasingly different from those at
higher levels.

When scientists talk about 'random' phenomena, they don't mean that these events have no cause or that they are utterly inexplicable. The idea of randomness in the context of science refers to the lack of intent or purpose behind a phenomenon.
I started this thread to explore the notion that design doesn't necessarily have to come from an intelligent human agent with the intent to create something. Design could also emerge from an undirected process following mechanistic rules which in and of themselves could not be said to have intent or purpose.

Hey MrHambre,
I started another thread (that has apparently died) where I was talking about the Langton's Ant program and others like it. I suggested that the emergence of ordered structures that were not implicitly designed by the programmer shows that unintelligent design is indeed possible.
Opinions?
