IRA bombs
Buz, the IRA did use bombs to hit civilian targets. Including civilian targets - even civilian targets on mainland Britain. They may not have used suicide bombs - but they didn't limit themselves in their choice of targets.
Here are some of the worst examples.
The Birmingham pub bombing
A shopping centre in Manchester
The Grand Hotel, Brighton
The Remembrance Day Bombing

Re: Biased UN
The UN has traditionally been anti-West, highly influenced by both Communism and now Islam.
Funny how all those Communists in the UN magically turned into "Islamists" just about the same time the bogeyman threatening America underwent the same metamorphosis.

"You are metaphysicians. You can prove anything by metaphysics; and having done so, every metaphysician can prove every other metaphysician wrong--to his own satisfaction. You are anarchists in the realm of thought. And you are mad cosmos-makers. Each of you dwells in a cosmos of his own making, created out of his own fancies and desires. You do not know the real world in which you live, and your thinking has no place in the real world except in so far as it is phenomena of mental aberration." -The Iron Heel by Jack London

Bump For Response.
I don't know how active RAZD is wanting to be these days, but sometime if inclined to do so I would like a response to my questions in message 30. For that matter It would be interesting for others to address these questions pertaining to the Mideast specific problems I cited if they were president now.

I would neither support nor criticize Israel. Let them lay in the bed they make for themselves.
BTW its funny how you and jar have been at it for over 5 years!
Variety (of opinion) is the spice of life!

1. Islam fundamentalists of Islam, unlike the IRA do not fight. They walk or drive themselves as lethal bombs into innocent crowds, buildings, factories, government buildings, busses et al so as to kill and destroy maximum number of people and as much property as they can. As president how would you deal with this dilema?
The IRA did not fight either, the murdered people, destroyed property and maintained their organised crime operations through bloody intimidation. As for suicide bombing, I'm far from convinced that a method that kills your operatives is actually more effective - after all, you can only do it once. Had the July 7th bombers simply left bombs on the undergroud they could have planted multiple devices and lived to plant more on another day. And compared to the IRA, Islamic terrorists groups are highly incompetent, do you remember the Glasgow airport attack? Laughable. I don't remember the IRA ever doing something so ineffective.
Islamic terror is not a greater threat to the UK than the IRA were. Even the IRA were frankly not that big a threat. Terrorism is effective not because it actually causes harm but because of how we respond to it.
Islams holy book advocates world domination whereas the IRA did not. As president what would you do to prevent Islam's ambition of world conquest? The thrust is first to secure the Mideast by wiping out Israel and dealing with the US barrier to world conquest. If they can accomplish these two objectives they're well on their way to an Islamic world.
Islam cannot conquer the world; only countries and empires can do that - and there is no sign of any Islamic nation being capable of doing that. Or even wanting to do that.
As president would you let Israel fall?
Israel deserves no more special protection than other nations; as president I would support severe sanctions against Israel until they withdraw from the occupied territories.

I'm not sure what you're even trying to say. If you're suggesting that the solution to the Irish problem would have been to force the population of Northern Ireland to merge with Southern Ireland against their collective will then you should probably take the time to develop a more complete knowledge of the situation.

Re: Endless Dilema
The worse stuff Christianity did was hundreds of years ago and most stuff that happens today is by retards who don't know any better which is very different than what Islam does today.
Yes, there are things like violence against doctors who perform abortions, but usually that's by a few people in comparison to the millions of Christians there is around the world today.
For example, in the modern age, what Christian groups actually blames the woman for adultery then stones her to death?
What christian group would bomb the South Park building and riot killing people simply for having an image of Jesus in a parody or as criticism?
The thing is, it's actually a false equivalency when people say but Christians do this in order to defend Islam's actions.
There are bastards like Fred Phelps, sure, and there's still witch burning in Africa.
But as a whole, modern day Christianity is not that violent. At least in western societies.
BUT, modern day Christianity does have its own problems, such as the failure to recognize things like evolution, and the failure to recognize individual rights (oh sure we're all free to be individuals as long as we worship God blah blah blah), and the failure of non-discrimination against non-Christians, just to name a few. But being violent is generally not on the agenda.
Still, while those problems are a bunch of crap, they are a far cry from threatening people because they have such a retarded notion that because you serve God you are not to be criticized and those who criticize Islam deserves death.

I was thinking I could use my power to get girls.
"Hey, baby, I'm President."
Seriously, what would I do if I was President? Not much, actually. Have you read the Constitution? Ask me what I'd do if I was a House majority and 60% of the Senate.

Re: the problem
no i dont know much about the problems up there it just reminded me of an irish song
I just like the music, i kinda like "military/fighting/struggle" songs like this and Irish rebel songs are one of the few that are worth listening too, if a country has never been occupied they make shitty songs on topics like this.
The actual fair thing by my opinion would be a peoples vote (referendum) to where they want to belong Ireland or Britan.
Edited by frako, : No reason given.

Re: the problem

Evidently.
The whole problem with Northern Ireland is that most of the Northern Irish want to be British. The funny thing is that the rest of us wouldn't take Northern Ireland as a gift.
I have a very simple solution, which is that England, Wales and Scotland should secede from the union.

Re: the problem
i actualy was in Ireland once i drove trough england got on a boat stayed a few days then drove back. I liked ireand better then England tough beer and cigarettes are freaking expensive. On my way back i was one hare close to throwing the pack of cigs back in the chashiers face when she told me how much they cost.
Back to the topic if i was president assuming i would have a 60% majority id do allot.
Firstly id block Croatia from entering the EU until the border dispute is settled by arbiters court or otherwise. Secondly i would make corruption in public offices synonym to treason, (min 10 years jail time), Go out of the NATO pact, bring the military to minimum and return the old system where every able person gets military training unless they invoke the right where their concuiss would not allow them to shoot people if it came to it.(only conquerors need a paied armyon standby at all times) Reduce spending for shit the government does not need, return helthcare back to the way it was. Actions that would stimulate economy in regions that have poor economy actions like no profit tax for the first few years, and reduced taxing for new companies for the first few years. Stimulate farmers to actually farm, the biggest problem is that they are not united and the buyers of their goods pay them so little that the farmers make a loss while the distributer make 50% and more PURE profit. And more things of this nature.
