Is there any connection in the etymologies of the english words 'God' and 'good' and 'devil' and 'evil'? Are their similarities just coincident? Is this similarity present in hebrew or old aramaic?

I guess I could have done that. Cheers.

Christian Oriented Forum
Can anyone recommend a good Christian oriented debate forum where they don't use banning people as their primary response?

Re: Christian Oriented Forum
Thanks Percy. I tried that one but was banned for being a time waster. At least I think it was that but they didn't exactly say.

Bogus or what?
What is going on here? Is it possible that this is the result of static electricity? The paint brush might stand on it's own but the broom? As far as I know, the Calgary Herald is a legitimate paper.

Re: Bogus or what?
This made me wonder,
George Lolos, a physics professor at the University of Regina, said it all has to do with static electricity, the buildup of electric charge on the surface of objects. For example, if somebody was doing work on a carpet and then touched the broom, static electricity would circulate between the bristles and make the broom stand straight up.

Re: Bogus or what?
A broom like that one? All my brooms have rakish angles.
But yeah it is more likely related to making news papers I guess.

Re: Bogus or what?
I suspected that it was malarky but then I thought maybe it was something that I had never heard of.
I will have to recalibrate my bogosity sensor. Cheers

Magnetic reversal
In Dr Adequate's most excellent geology thread he demonstrates that reversal of the earths magnetic poles has happened in the past and, as I understand it, is happening now or is a constant process.
What will the effects be on our technology? On migrating animals? Or anything else for that matter.

Re: Magnetic reversal
Thanks for the reply.
If you want to worry about something, worry about Yellowstone erupting instead.
Will it help?

Genisis 2.0
Since there isn't even one creation model in the Bible but rather at least two mutually exclusive tales, it is a difficult undertaking.
Any idea why they would have included 2 accounts of creation?
