As much as I don't like religious people, I feel a great sense of sadness for those who were deceived by the false prophet Camping. Some of these people quit their jobs, left everything behind to spread the word. I don't care what kind of dumbfucks they are, they're still people with families. Some of the pictures of these Camping followers have children and teens in them. Sad.

Re: More Bad Stuff Ahead For The US
Buzsaw writes:
I don't know where you live, Dr Adequate, but are you oblivious to all of the bad things that have befallen our nation weather wise, fires, monetarily, unemployment and relative to be southwest borders, etc? Like it's one after another.
The body count in the US due to recent floods, fires, tornadoes, drought, fire ants, spiders, drugs, traffic accidents, scary Mexicans, Bush Presidency, Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Korea, WW2, WW1, and even false prophecy (see Heaven's Gate, Koresh, Manson, etc.), still do not total the death toll the US population had under the American Civil War at any equivalent period of time.
Please let me know when your knowledge of US history is equal to your supposed prophecies, as far as I can tell at this moment, they are not worth a schilling.
Edited by anglagard, : Those traffic accidents can really add up quick, the point remains, name any 5 year period of time.

The idea of the sacred is quite simply one of the most conservative notions in any culture, because it seeks to turn other ideas - uncertainty, progress, change - into crimes.

Re: Camping's Bogus Source
Buzsaw writes:
This is a unique Buzsaw hypothesis which makes more sense than Camping's nonsense.
More sense than Camping? That's an incredibly low standard.
It's not cut in stone, but the prophecies clearly implicate it after careful study, considering cause and effect of the conglomerate of prophecies.
And then you hedge on even that. Absolutely worthless as prophecy.

Many followers said the delay was a further test from God to persevere in their faith.
How can you compete with that to people like this even if you can explain absolutely everything he would just say that there only to test our faith.

Actually, brother Camping may have been raptured. He's no where to be found. Nobody could find him, not even his followers.

That's their story.
Follower#1: "Camping? Camping? You mean that bastard who persuaded us to give away all our worldly goods 'cos the rapture was coming? No, we haven't seen him."
Follower #2 (giggling): "And we certainly didn't dismember him in any way."
Follower #1: "Shut up Brother Snevins."
Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.

He's a con artist and to be successful, a con artist has to keep up the con after the fact, if he shows up even most of those he conned would see through him, he disappears and his followers can claim he was "raptured"and no one can prove or disprove it.

Did you guys read the news about their total worth? From 2005 to 2009, they accumulated a total of $80 million from donations alone. The group spent a total of $106 million on billboards and whatnot to advertise this event. Many members sold their homes and possessions to chip in.
These christians really could have used this money to do worldly good instead of keep preparing for heaven...
This is exactly why those who deny global warming are predominantly christian. They don't care about this world. They only care about the next.
