Perhaps buz, it's just better news. Today you learn about more things globally than ever before, not that there is more of it. That is due to technology, and media. Also with a larger population, of course more people will get hurt when a disaster strikes, but maybe not percentage wise. With better construction, and today's warning systems, percentage wise it is possible that less people get hurt today per disaster than years ago. I know this is true for at least hurricanes (according to a weather channel report I saw).

The US inflation rate is about 3.2%. That is hardly runaway inflation. The Dollar has not crashed. If Obama is trying to destroy America by screwing with the economy, he's doing a terrible job. Since taking over as energy secretary, Steven Chu, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist, has been talking up the importance of clean coal technology. The world won't abandon coal anytime soon, he has argued, so the United States has to start doing more to develop technologies that capture carbon dioxide from coal-fired plants.

In a sign the Obama administration is taking his argument seriously, Chu on Friday announced that the Department of Energy is pouring $1 billion from the economic stimulus package into relaunching FutureGen, an ambitious but long-stalled project intended to show how carbon dioxide can be captured on a large scale from coal-fired power plants.

Initially conceived in 2003, FutureGen was pitched as having the potential to be the first "zero-emissions" coal plant in the United States. In 2007, after several years of initial planning, Mattoon, Ill., was selected as the site. But in January 2008, the Bush administration pulled the project's funding, citing cost overruns. Since then, FutureGen has been stuck in something of an existential purgatory.

Effectively reversing that decision, Chu said on Friday that the Department of Energy has signed a new deal with the FutureGen Alliance, a consortium of roughly 20 coal producers and other companies that have backed the project from the start. Project officials will resume design activities and make new cost estimates, and a final decision on whether to green-light the project, officials say, will come next year.

The Energy Department will put up more than $1 billion to restart FutureGen, and the Alliance will chip in more than $400 million. Both will be working to bring in new partners.

Buz thinks there's double-secret invisible inflation that manifests itself entirely in rising energy costs and not, say, as rising wages.It apparently has yet to occur to him that rising energy prices might just indicate rising demand for energy.

Seing the first video that came out after "judgment day" i think he is buying the shit he preaches, because he seemed really upset when the end of days dint come and he wasn't raptured.The second video where he says he will not remind people of the October dooms-date makes me think he is playing everybody the second date will calm the worst of his upset flock and if it wont be commercialized the time that will pass to the date will do much to dilute the angriness of the deceived flock.So im not totally sure what he believes, ithik its a bit of both.
