Apes are apes and humans are humans.
Humans are also apes.
It is the same as:
Dogs are dogs and dobermans are dobermans.
Dobermans are also dogs.

Are we really apes?
Yes, we are.
The document you quoted seems to think that humans are brothers to gorillas.
This is not true: we share a distant common ancestor.
How do you think the author would react to the statement that "Bonobos are apes"?
Would he list the differences compared to other apes?
Lighter bones
Much smaller size
Greater sex drive
Much weaker
Less hair
Humans are NOT gorillas. Humans are NOT orang-utans. Humans ARE apes.
p.s.
Any document that uses phrases like:
"...which only the black race has achieved."
immediately sets off alarm bells.

I accept your response in that the theory of evolution is just a theory and is not a proven fact.
Wow.
Is that really the best you can do?
Pathetic. Really pathetic.
You are admitting that you are actually too stupid to use Google.

Why would I bother refuting your assertions.
If you had any evidence, then they wouldn't be just assertions.
You've been told repeatedly to provide evidence - but you haven't.
All you are able to do is stoop to insults to bolster your self image.
You will have to do much better than this woffle[sic] of a reply if you are to have any substance at all.

Portillo writes:
Anatomist Rudolf Virchow said that neanderthal were human in every respect, some appearing to be suffering from rickets or arthritis.
Rickets and arthritis are not evidence of being human.
Kittens can get rickets; dogs can get arthritis.
Also, Rudolf Virchow died in 1902. He was not (for example) able to do a genetic comparison.
He also thought that the flattened skull was due to a powerful blow to the head.
It seems that most of his theories about neanderthals have been disproved by further discoveries.
Portillo writes:
Paleoanthropologist Erik Trinkaus said "Detailed comparisons of Neandertal skeletal remains with those of modern humans have shown that there is nothing in neanderthal anatomy that conclusively indicates locomotor, manipulative, intellectual or linguistic abilities inferior to those of modern humans."
Erik Trinkaus also thinks that neanderthals are not human.
So, despite your quote suggesting that neanderthals are fully human, the person you quoted does not think they are.

I believe what you have found is DNA evidence of a human foxp2 gene and a 99.5% similarity to modern humans which is in the usual human variation range.
Since your reply is completely unconnected to my post, I am left thinking that you simply love the 'sound of your own voice' and will therefore post reams of text while showing little interest in other people's posts.
You have apparently failed to change your modus operandi.
Good luck with that.

Re: On to classification.
Mazzy writes:
There has been one attempt at 'guess it if you can' and I have responded.
And you got it so fantastically wrong (you identified one cro-magnon and three human skulls as apes) that people have been forced to ask you how you are differentiating between humans and apes.
This request has repeatedly gone unanswered.
(It is a simple question, but one you are obviously unable to answer.)
You are clearly unable to tell human skeletons from ape skeletons.
Edited by Panda, : No reason given.
