You are not using the proper img location... peek this msg.

Looked at the Einstein photo example - What you are supplying as the image URL is actually the URL of the page containing the photo.
You have this URL:
File:Einstein 1921 portrait2.jpg - Wikipedia
You need this URL:
Wikimedia Error
Then enclose the 2nd URL in [img][/img].
Which gets you:
Or the thumbnail version is:

Please be familiar with the various topics and other links in the "Essential Links", found in the top of the page menu. Amongst other things, this is where to find where to report various forum problems.

picture problem
Moose,
Maybe you can help me. Some months agoI bought some new virus software for my home PC.
I installed it and ran it and since then pictures do not show up on my screen. I get a blank page with a small square in the upper left cornor. Right clicking on that square one of the options is "show picture" but it's not lit up so now I can't see pictures.
Any ideas on fixing this.
Thanks
petrophysics

I see your problem...
You need to buy anti-virus software.
Seriously though - have you looked through all the anti-virus software's options?
Can you also post the name of the anti-virus software? It might help.

Re: picture problem
How do I align the image to the left and also adjust the size to what I want?
something like [img=left, ###] or what?
where ### is the size I want...

If you know off the top of your head, how do I resize images in html using this coding...
< img src="address"/>
is there, like, a 'size=###' code or something I can add in? Where would that go?

I only run a firewall...not too many virus problems for Linux users...windows blows.

Asked and answered already.

This bulletin board doesn't parse either of the normal BBCode img sizing techniques.
Use HTML.

Only because I don't know what they are. I've got a spare half hour later tonight, tell me what they are. If the techniques fit with what I already have I'll put them in.

Re: picture problem

[img width=100 height=50]http://www.image.com/mouse.jpg[/img]
or
[img=100x50]http://www.image.com/mouse.jpg[/img]
(I prefer the 2nd option.)
{abe}
To combine properties:
[img=100x50 Left]http://www.image.com/mouse.jpg[/img]
(Either a space or a comma as the delimiter.)

Re: picture problem
I didn't realize it was changing the aspect ratio that you were interested in. It would be easy to do option 2, but why? Is there any demand? The neat thing about specifying only width is that it maintains aspect ratio.
A question. If the image is 500x300 but you specify 100x100, when you click on the magnifying glass cursor does the image go to it's normal 500x300, or does it maintain aspect ratio and go to 500x500, or maybe 300x300?
