Well, no they cannot PM or even get in to read their own PMs.
Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

That sucks, I stand corrected.

Can suspended members send and receive messages?
I'm not sure, but I think not. Originally, they could. But then a suspended spammer sent spam messages to every member.Fundamentalism - the anti-American, anti-Christian branch of American Christianity

It has some good points, for example you can PM a suspended member which turns on that blinky message light and the person can do nothing to turn it off.

Hold your mouse cursor over each of those numbers - A little text box will open up to explain them.
Amongst other things, the "Post Volume" row also has the same explanation feature. AdminnemooseusPlease be familiar with the various topics and other links in the "Essential Links", found in the top of the page menu. Amongst other things, this is where to find where to report various forum problems.

Does anyone else have trouble reading red text on a blue background like Moose’s essential links reminder? Does anyone know why that happens? It seems to me that there is good contrast between the two colours but it looks fuzzy to me.

Even with my glasses on it is difficult to read.
Testing red Testing red in bold Not as bad when in bold
Testing red Testing red in bold The bold still shows up better for the red even in a black box. Looked worse in a white box.

Let me turn these around:

My glasses make it all ok. Red on blue is not the greatest contrast on the color wheel but to my technology enhanced vision it looks passably fine.

Try a pink answer (it is actually closer to magenta but easier to type)

One thing we were taught in HTML class was that our ability to deal with the contrast between different back- and fore-grounds of different colors changes as we get older ... it gets worse. I'm sure there are physical/physiological/psychological explanations for exactly why that is, but the bottom line is that some combinations just don't work. For example, I always found that yellow on blue (like Air Force and Navy signs) worked just fine, but that was 20 years ago. Recently, somebody on this forum complained about that color combination and I also now found it a bit harsh on the eyes.
In HTML/Web/GUI style guides out there there must be a list somewhere that recommends which combinations to use and which ones to avoid. And, yes, I do have trouble reading red on blue.

Hi dwise1,
Recently, somebody on this forum complained about that color combination and I also now found it a bit harsh on the eyes. yeah, that was one of my posts. Personally I like tan, gold and orange as stand-alone colors and rarely use red, green or brown I also like blue or black with white ([bgcolor]) or  tan backgrounds [blockcolor]) Enjoy. It seems to me that there is good contrast between the two colours but it looks fuzzy to me. Actually the contrast is relatively low because they have roughly the same luminance. It's hard to read because only a subset of the cells in your retina can perceive the difference. Flip your color space over to grayscale and you'll see that they're not so different at all.
