The proof of it is that were still here fighting about it.
We still argue about the Epic of Gilgamesh, which pre-dates the Bible. Do you therefore believe in the whole pantheon of Sumerian gods? Marduk, all of em?
There are lots of historical accounts from lots of places outside the bible which talks about characters and events of the bible that were happening at that time.
Oo, big deal. Guess what - Huckleberry Finn has the same thing - reference to events that were really happening at the time that it's set. Guess what? It's still fiction. The veracity of historical background in the Bible doesn't make it true, it makes it historical fiction.
If you study the roman empire youll find lots of stories about jesus in romen literatue of that era.
Yeah, it's all based on the Bible.
Geez, are all Christians as credulous as you? Didn't you learn how to discern fiction from non-fiction in school, or something?

You gotto admit: Time magazine is profanely ToE biased in scientific discourses (as are most other 'science' mags, methinks).
*GASP*
To THINK that a SCIENCE publication would be biased in favor of a SCIENTIFIC theory!!!!!!!!!!
Um...since when did Time become a science magazine?

Are you referring to the roman literature questioning why anyone would want to be a Xtian because it was so obvious the mythology was stolen from earlier religions?

I'd say that it is more a question of how you try to limit the effect of the biases. That is after all part of the scientific method - and evolution does stand up as science.
In my experience creationists are often extremely biased and also prone to falsely accusing their oppoents of the same degree of bias.

Re: Assertions
I think I agree my dogmatic assertions and yours (both) don't withstand many (if any) empirical proofs to speak of. I'm not about to argue the whole is the sum of its parts and vice versa, on this thread.
...Back to the strain: "Creationist bias in the media."
At least it wasn't YEC bias. It just keeps getting younger and younger: 6000 years old and progressively younger these YEC guys are calling it. Man alive. (Oops, I'm a dogmatically biased YEC)

Re: Media Bias
Philip referred to "other science maggazines" and I was responding to that.
It was a throwaway comment so I didn't take pains to be crystal clear.
