I think that you are wrong when you say that the earth just appeared on the 3rd day. The Bible doesn't say that. Actually it says that the earth was there on the first day. it was just "without form and void." Genesis 1:2 2 "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
